UTTOXETER

Race 2 No1 LIVIN ON LUCO
Trainer: Philip Hobbs – Jockey: Sean Houlihan

LIVIN ON LUCO switches here from the waterlogged Fontwell and is faced with a similar task with seemingly one rival to beat. That foe One Big Bang ran out a well-supported winner of a better race at Haydock but in this tactical affair may find the selection too hot to handle.

Race 4 No5 FINE CASTING
Trainer: Ben Pauling – Jockey: Kielan Woods

FINE CASTING underwhelmed when pulled up on his latest start at Exeter but is too good a horse to give up on. Having earned in each of his three previous outings in novice handicap chases he can bounce back, as the ground track and trip are all perfect for him and his stable remains in good form in the approach to Aintree.

Race 6 No3 KRUGER PARK (Nap)
Trainer: Paul Nicholls – Jockey: Freddie Gingell

KRUGER PARK was handed an 11lb rise after dotting up at Newbury which under normal circumstances would put me off backing him in this, but the burden is lessened by the 5lb claim of his very able rider Freddie Gingell, and the combination can prove hard to beat.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No4 ARKHALIA FLYNN (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: David Probert

Ulysses gelding ARKHALIA FLYNN showed promise on his only start last year when posting a midfield finish at Newbury in the summer. He’s developed well physically and although facing a couple of rivals with better form on paper, could have improved sufficiently to beat them.

Race 2 No9 ROSE PRICK (Each Way)
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: Saffie Osborne

The featured Listed race can see ROSE PRICK running better than her big double-figure price indicates. The daughter of No Nay Never carries just a single career win into battle but has run well to earn on both seasonal debuts at two and three. She only just failed Tom pick up black type on her last attempt at a Listed in France, and has done well through the winter.

Race 3 No5 CHILLINGHAM
Trainer: Ed Bethell – Jockey: Callum Rodriguez

Denied a good opportunity when Musselburgh was waterlogged last weekend, CHILLINGHAM can make up for lost time by landing this historic Rosebery Handicap and justify the long journey from North Yorkshire. The five-year-old ran well in a number of valuable contests last season, and wasn’t suited by hold up tactics when the November Handicap was switched from Doncaster to Newcastle. He’s far better than that result indicates, and has been working well ahead of this seasonal reappearance.

Race 4 No10 AQWAAM (Each Way)
Trainer: Ian Williams – Jockey: Oisin Orr

AQWAAM is a bang-in-form stayer who after bolting up at Lingfield over Easter now carries high hopes of another strike in the Queen’s Prize. The grey faces strong competition from the likes of Novel Legend, Sleeping Lipn and Sweet Fantasy but the nature of this race should suit his hold up style, and he can maintain his record of having earned in each of his races this year.

Race 7 No5 FERROUS (Nap)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: David Probert

FERROUS overcame a tendency to run freely when scoring in decisive fashion on his first run of the year at Wolverhampton. The grey now has to deal with an outer draw, but as long as he can move inside to gain cover his turn of foot can prove decisive at the business end of this cracking sprint handicap.

CHELMSFORD CITY

Race 2 Woodford Reserve Cardinal Conditions Stakes

No4 CAPULET (Nap)
Trainer: Aidan O’Brien – Jockey: Ryan Moore

CAPULET showed he’s adept on sand by scoring on his Dundalk introduction last year. The Justify colt went on to finish third in the Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes at Newmarket after narrowly failing to contain Diego Velazquez in the Champion Juvenile Stakes (also Group 2j at Leopardstown. That level of form makes him the one to beat, even though he might not be quite as sharp as last week’s Newcastle scorer Cuban Lion.

Race 3 No5 ROXANNE
Trainer: Ed Dunlop – Jockey: Ryan Moore

ROXANNE left Germany with a three-race unbeaten record which she can successfully defend in this Class4 handicap. The Soldier Hollow filly has joined a trainer whose best days centred on the fillies Ouija Board and Snow Fairy, and while having far to go to match their achievements is very well regarded.

Race 7 No5 PROFITMAN
Trainer: Ben Brookhouse – Jockey: Jack Gilligan

PROFITMAN came of age with a tidy Wolverhampton success last week and from a 4lb higher mark can consolidate. He’s the only previous winner in the low grade three-year-old only handicap and should have more to offer.

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 1-7)
