UTTOXETER

Race 3 No12 CRACKING DESTINY (Each Way)
Trainer: Ewan Whillans – Jockey: Brendan Powell

This is a very deep race and a great one for viewing in which CRACKING DESTINY could offer some value, as he’s not an obvious choice. The veteran had been in good form over fences with earning efforts in both outings this year before having a readying run over hurdles. While yet to indicate that this is one of his favourite courses he’s tempting at a big double-figure price.

Race 4 No7 INVESTMENT MANAGER (Nap)
Trainer: Joe Tizzard – Jockey: Brendan Powell

Sound jumping has been the hallmark of INVESTMENT MANAGER who if getting into a rhythm at the front end can play a big part in the outcome of this featured Summer Cup. The eight-year-old has formed an affinity for Newton Abbot, and though sharper than this course there’s still certain similarities between the two. He’s reported in cracking form and although a couple of pounds wrong in the weights he will do for me.

Race 6 No9 CHARLIE’S GLANCE (Each Way)
Trainer: Andrew Martin – Jockey: J Martin

With a pleasing run in defeat at this course earlier in the month CHARLIE’S GLANCE demonstrated he is on the way back. The dual-purpose performer has been selectively campaigned over the past year but that run should have blown away any cobwebs for this hurdling assignment.

CARTMEL

Race 4 No7 JE T’AI PORTE (Nap)
Trainer: Gavin Cromwell – Jockey: Sean Bowen

Irish challenger JE T’AI PORTE is two from three this year and needs respecting with top pilot Bowen in her saddle for the first time. A winner on each of her last two outings over fences and narrowly denied in a hurdling run in between, she can make this first journey across the sea a rewarding one.

Race 5 No10 CHARLIE UBERALLES (Each Way)
Trainer: Dianne Sayer – Jockey: Danny McMenamin

CHARLIE UBERALLES posted an encouraging effort at this specialist track last month on a second visit. Both have resulted in near misses but the losses that were incurred on him in the race won by Tommie Beau can now be recouped with interest.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 2 No2 WARBLER (Nap)
Trainer: Hughie Morrison – Jockey: George Bass

WARBLER looks to have all the bases covered and is a bet I’m looking forward to. She upped her game when second on handicap debut at Kempton and is not only down the class ladder but is going to get good service from her apprentice rider who is good value for his 3lb claim.

Race 3 No4 WHO’S GLEN
Trainer: Andrew Balding – Jockey: Joshua Bryan

This restricted novice should fall to WHO’S GLEN who is proven on the surface and brings easily the best form to the table. Furthermore, he’s a well-related individual whose dam was a multiple Pattern race winner. Today’s step-up in trip will not faze him either.
