LINGFIELD PARK

Race 3 No1 MOVETHECHAINS (Nap)
Trainer: Gary Moore – Jockey: Caoilin Quinn

Moore rarely leaves this meeting empty-handed, and MOVETHECHAINS can prove his trump card in this long-distance handicap chase. The ten-year-old came out of the wilderness to score over course and distance last time, and can follow up at the expense of another recent winner in Head And Heart.

Race 5 No4 KINGOFTHEWEST
Trainer: David Pipe – Jockey: Jack Tudor

KINGOFTHEWEST was beautifully ridden to score at Chepstow where he jumped well to end a sequence of earning near misses. He’s taken those exertions in his stride, and with conditions in his favour can back it up.

Race 6 No1 JUST OVER LAND
Trainer: Sam Thomas – Jockey: Freddie Gingell

JUST OVER LAND returns from a break in which he’s undergone a breathing operation. Placed in four of his six outings over hurdles, he can raise his game and open his account on a first visit to this track, and end the winning spree of Goguenard.

AYR

Race 4 No12 PRESIDENT SCOTTIE
Trainer: Nicky Richards – Jockey: Danny McMenamin

PRESIDENT SCOTTIE shaped like a winner waiting to happen when chasing home Esprit Du Potier here last month. He was also in the money on his first run over hurdles at the same track, and can put that experience to good use against the equally promising Myretown.

Race 6 No2 CAMP BELAN (Each Way)
Trainer: Lucinda Russell – Jockey: Derek Fox

Russell has a number of fancied runners on the card, with CAMP BELAN one of her best chances. He’s run a number of solid races since scoring at Kelso 15 months ago and is a horse that is overdue. The addition of blinkers appeared to assist him in his latest earning start at the same course, while on his only previous visit here he finished second to a well-treated opponent.

NEWCASTLE

Race 1 No8 ROSE LIGHT
Trainer: Gemma Tutty – Jockey: Rab Havlin

Nathaniel mare ROSE LIGHT opened her account in good style at Southwell in what proved a big step forward and on a fifth start since joining her trainer. She faces a couple of in form rivals in Polar Princess and Churchella, but with her tail up can make it back-to-back successes.

Race 3 No7 QUIET RESOLVE
Trainer: Richard Fahey – Jockey: Jack Garritty

Paper favourite Welcome Dream has to deal with the outside draw while QUIET RESOLVE is boxed in the middle, which is an advantage of sorts. The son of Showcasing enjoys the benefit of a recent outing here in which he claimed a minor cheque. The run should have served to sharpen him up.

Race 5 No3 MASTER DANDY (Nap)
Trainer: James Fanshawe – Jockey: Tommie Jakes

MASTER DANDY is the most interesting horse in this Class 4 sprint, contending for a trainer who should always be respected with his runners here. He broke his duck over this course and distance in November, and though beaten when a shade of odds on at Wolverhampton the following month might not have been happy cutting back to five furlongs. Now moved into handicap company he has further room for manoeuvre.

Race 6 No3 BETTER
Trainer: George Boughey – Jockey: Billy Loughnane

This is the third time BETTER has been declared to run recently, and if taking up the gauntlet he can make a winning return. The Due Diligence gelding was a smooth scorer at Wolverhampton in December and is they type of progressive individual his trainer excels with.
