Neil Morrice Wednesday v2

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 1 No3 NILOUFAR (Nap)
Trainer: Harry Charlton – Jockey: Trevor Whelan

Tamayuz filly NILOUFAR looked a different horse when moving into the handicap division at Chelmsford. After attracting support, and equipped with a first-time hood, she came home unchallenged to suggest she is going to be hard for the assessor to get to grips with.

Race 4 No10 CLARA BARTON
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Rose Dawes

CLARA BARTON was too backward to make it to they rack as a juvenile, but she’s developed physically and could make an impact on this belated racecourse debut for a stable in form. She’s a beautifully bred individual who will run green but might still get into the shake-up.

Race 7 No2 TIGER BEETLE (Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Rimell – Jockey: Rob Hornby

TIGER BEETLE is proving expensive to follow but at likely big double-figure odds may be worth another chance. Just when it seems he’s ready to show his true ability he tends to put in a poor run, but he’s definitely well handicapped and this is probably not the last chance saloon for him.

WOLVERHAMPTON

Race 1 No10 LIBERTY BAY (Each Way)
Trainer: Mark Usher – Jockey: George Rooke

In receipt of weight from her nine opponents, LIBERTY BAY could prove a value option at a double-figure price. The mare is without a win in three years but hasn’t been beaten far on her last two visits to the all-weather and could raise her game with a new pilot in the saddle.

Race 2 No1 AMERJEET (Nap)
Trainer: Archie Watson – Jockey: Hollie Doyle

Several speedily bred newcomers clash in an interesting heat in which AMERJEET might prove too hot for paper favourite Enchanting Empress to handle. Hollie Doyle is aboard the son of Blue Point for whom I’ve received encouraging vibes from Lambourn.

MARKET RASEN

Race 1 No13 RUMOURSAREFLYING (Nap)
Trainer: Pam Sly – Jockey: Paul O’Brien

The greater experience of RUMOURSAREFLYING can plan a part in the outcome of this maiden hurdle. He’s improved from race to race since going hurdling, and after near misses at Southwell and Fakenham can now put his best foot forward as the best bet on this card.

Race 4 No7 RULER LEGEND
Trainer: Jonjo O’Neill – Jockey: Jonjo O’Neill Jr

RULER LEGEND landed some good bets in style when switched to a handicap at Huntingdon and needs to be taken seriously for a stable whose horses are in great form ahead of the Grand National meeting. The five-year-old was having only a fourth outing since his arrival from Ireland, and remains unexposed and open to further progression.

Race 6 No6 OFF THE JURY
Trainer: Alan King – Jockey: Mr David Maxwell

The free-going OFF THE JURY has a hood added in the concluding bumper in which a repeat of his second to Royal Infantry at Doncaster would make him hard to beat. He did too much on his latest start at Kempton and is probably better than that form says he is.

KEMPTON PARK

Race 1 No6 SPIRITED DANCER (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: Charles Bishop

From the final crop of the sprint stallion Dandy Man, SPIRITED DANCER has shown ability in her build-up for this and may be worth a market check. Two-year-olds from this stable invariably improve for their first run, but I shall be surprised if she doesn’t run well.

Race 3 No1 HIROMICHI (Each Way)
Trainer: Jack Channon – Jockey: George Bass

HIROMICHI has never won as easily as he did at Lingfield last week when doing us a nice favour. The grey fairly winged found the turns and had matters in control early in the home straight. He certainly wasn’t fully wound up and so if he follows up under 3lb apprentice Bass it won’t be such a surprise.

Race 5 No1 GOING THE DISTANCE (Nap)
Trainer: Ralph Beckett – Jockey: Rossa Ryan

Place Accumulator Perm (Races 1-7)

6, 3, 5 x 4, 7 x 1, 11, 10 x 1 x 1, 6 x 3, 4 x 7, 5, 13
