Race 3 No3 THRAVE
Trainer: Mike Appleby – Jockey: Frederick Larson
After a long time out in the wilderness THRAVE has finally recaptured some of his old ability with a win and a second at the basement level. He’s responded positively to the fitting of an eyeshield and can confirm his liking for Fibresand by getting back into the winning groove.
Race 6 No2 ZYLAN
Trainer: Roget Fell – Jockey: Jason Hart
Although compromised by a wide draw, ZYLAN can confirm the status of his first win of the year over course and distance when proving too strong for course specialist Samovar. The latter has boosted that form with a couple of subsequent triumphs, making Zylan appear rock solid here.
Race 7 No6 NICK VEDDER (Nap)
Trainer: Robyn Brisland – Jockey: Kieran Shoemark
NICK VEDDER laughed at his foes when completing back-to-back successes here last week. This is a stronger contest, but such was the dominance displayed by the seven-year-old that he can defy a 4lb penalty.
