VALUE BET – HAPPY TANGO ridden by K. Teetan
BEST BET – FA FA ridden by V. Ho

Bi-Pot: 3, 10/3, 4, 6/7, 11/1, 3/4, 10/5, 9

13.15 Race 1 Class 5 Handicap 1800m
Selections: 3/10/8

SKY GEM drops back to Class 5 and his last effort is bet ignored as he clipped heels in the running. He is well drawn and the form of his penultimate run definitely catches the eye. WEALTHY EMPLOYEE was narrowly beaten in his last start. He got going too late on that occasion but it was an encouraging performance as he bled in his penultimate start.

13.45 Race 2 Class 4 Handicap 1650m
Selections: 4/6/3

FAST PACE produced a fair comeback effort at Sha Tin. He looks ideally handicapped, should strip fitter and looks set to give a good account of himself. VICTORIOUS SEEKER produced a fair last effort despite racing three-wide into the straight. He drops back to a mile and could be one to cause an upset.

14.15 Race 3 Class 5 Handicap 1200m
Selections: 11/7/3

XIANG LAN QI produced a fair last start despite having to be checked at the 200m. He is likely to settle just off the pace and Teetan may be able to coax a little more extra out of him where it matters most. ALLOY KING won his last start under Hamelin, remains in Class 5 and is difficult to ignore.

14.45 Race 4 Class 4 Handicap 1200m
Selections: 3/1/5

HAPPY TANGO showed guts and determination to win his last start under Teetan. He was asked to set the pace on that occasion and fought hard all the way to the line. He shows good early pace and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing punters. FIRE BALL shoulders top weight but brings ultra-consistent form into the race. He won going away in his last start and will look to start the season off well.

15.15 Race 5 Class 4 Handicap 1200m
Selections: 10/4/1

GREAT HARVEST looked like he was going to reel off a hat-trick before the season break. He won his penultimate start under Badel and if fully tuned up, should give a good account of himself. SPICY SO GOOD produced a fair comeback run and seems to be over the bleeding issues that limited him during the course of last season.

15.45 Race 6 Class 3 Handicap 1650m
Selections: 9/5/11

FA FA is the best bet on the card. He has finished strongly in his last three outings over this C&D and from his fair draw, should take a power of beating. SMOOTHIES brings consistent form into this race. He has placed in his last two outings under Purton and if overcoming his wide draw, can challenge for top honours.

16.15 Race 7 Class 3 Handicap 1200m
Selections: 1/2/10

SIMPLY FLUKE is in search of a hat-trick of wins. He was given a peach of a ride to win his last start under Chau and on form is difficult to oppose. CLASSIC POSH followed up his most recent win with a good 3rd place finish despite racing three-wide. He won his only start under Purton in February and the pair merit healthy respect.

16.50 Race 8 Class 2 Handicap 1200m
Selections: 6/10/12

IGNITING ran on well last time despite over-racing and having to be checked at the 950m. It is encouraging that Ho has kept faith in the ride and with better luck in running, should be one of the leading contenders in the lucky last. LOVING A BOOM is an ultra-consistent sort. He placed in both outings under Badel last season and could be one to cause an upset.
