He ran on from far back last time and if Moreira can get him a bit closer to the pace, should find himself in the winner’s enclosure. SHANGAI POWER found one better in the form of Universal Crown last time. He will benefit from a 3kgs claiming apprentice and must be included in all bets.

The grey SILVER EXPRESS beat a decent type in the form of Excellent Proposal last time. He should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and with a handy galloping weight of 55kgs, looks like the one to side with. CALIFORNIADEEPSHOT finished runner-up on this track last time and should be right up there with the speed from pole. He is the ride of South African jockey Luke Ferraris and the pair merit healthy respect.
14:15 – Race 3 – Class 4 Handicap | 1800m

TOYCOON was beaten half a length by AMAZING TEENS last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair when they hit the line. YES WE CAN looks held by the top selection but can run into the minor money.
14:45 – Race 4 – Class 5 Handicap | 1650m

CROWN AVENUE was beaten 1.75 lengths behind SPEED FORCE last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and is the narrow first selection in an open contest. LUCKY VICTOR produced a fair last run when beaten by the top selection. He shoulders a similar weight and won’t be a shock winner in this type of field.
15:15 – Race 5 – Class 4 Handicap | 1650m

SOLAR POWER won by a nose on this track last time defeating Yes We Can. He remains in Class 4, will benefit from a 3kgs claiming apprentice and can make it quick back-to-back wins. RUN THE TABLE won his last start well and if transferring his recent Happy Valley form onto this course, could be one to cause an upset.
15:45 – Race 6 – Class 4 Handicap | 1200m

EVERYONE’S VICTORY was flying up on this course last time when beaten just under a length by Flying Dragon. It is encouraging that Harry Bentley has kept faith in the ride and the pair will be doing their best work in the latter stages. FIERY DIAMOND was beaten by EIGHT TRIGRAMS on debut but is coming along the right way and should give a good account of himself.
16:15 – Race 7 – Class 3 Handicap | 1650m

ULTRA EXPRESS is one of the better bets on the card. He has cracked pole position and is 3kgs better off at the weights with INFINITE POWER on his last start. He had to produce his run from midfield that day and should get more luck from barrier number one. PARTY EVERYDAY looks held by the top selection on his penultimate start but can run into the minor money.
16:50 – Race 8 – Class 3 Handicap | 1200m

ELON was beaten just over a length by GUNNISON last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights, can turn the tables on his recent conqueror and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. WHEN YOU BELIEVE was beaten narrowly in his comeback run after a five-month break. He should strip fitter and is another leading contender in the lucky last.
