The shorter trip won’t pose an issue for the Atso filly.

SUBTLE FORCE, expectedly didn’t enjoy racing up the straight recently and will be a totally different prospect back around the bend today. In fact, she could take a power of beating if reproducing her two prior attempts when equipped with blinkers. The daughter of A P Arrow should have no issue with this ten furlongs and she may still prove to be better than rated even when contesting handicaps in the future.

Jockey: Siyabonga B MTHEMBU – Trainer: Alec LAIRD
The well-related OHIO has expectedly improved his formline but was always going to find seven furlongs too sharp for him in a competitive event on this course three weeks ago. Of course, he shaped well over the mile prior to that and trainer Alec Laird’s charge will love every bit of the ten furlongs today. He gets the services of a capable workrider and represents decent each/way value.
Race 8: EURYTHMICS(10)
The juveniles could land a big blow in this final event and trainer Louis Goosen’s charge EURYTHMICS was probably drawn on the ‘wrong side’ of the course when she found no extra in her improved second outing. Of course, she was considered good enough to contest a feature on debut prior to that and has obviously shown smart work back home. The well-related bay filly should continue to progress and her favourable draw should make a significant difference today.

PLAY MISTY FOR ME hails from the boiling hot Mike de Kock barn and this improving Mambo In Seattle gelding could have a decent say in today’s line-up. Ironically, he was soundly thrashed by Boiling Point when 3rd on his Highveld debut last time but his conqueror boosted the formline when placing in a strong handicap field subsequently. The three-year-old would have strengthened during the ten-week rest and has claims.
