Not beaten that far in a better race than this at Haydock last time. BEER WITH THE BOYS is getting close to another win after making a late entry into the fray. He’s done well from three to four and can pick up where he left off at the end of last season. He moved stylishly in his final gallop for this.

Race 3 – No 6 THE BLUES MASTER

From a stable that does well with its Stayers on the Flat, THE BLUES MASTER came back from a lengthy absence to finish a creditable runner-up to Francophilia at Newcastle. He remains on the Tapeta surface for this competetive race as well as moving up the distance ladder. Top weight and hat-truck seeker Distant Chimes will be a tough nut to crack but The Blues Master can cause him problems.
