NOTTINGHAM

Race 1 – GENERAL ASSEMBLY 1/1

GENERAL ASSEMBLY sets the standard in the opening Come Racing At Nottingham Racecourse Maiden Stakes.

The three-year-old was a well-beaten favourite on his sole juvenile start in Ireland for Ger Lyons and was subsequently gelded and sent across the Irish Sea to join George Boughey.

The son of Starspangledbanner has looked like a winner in waiting in two novice starts so far this spring, going down by a neck at Southwell on his first start for his new trainer before being beaten three-quarters of a length into third place at Kempton.

With William Buick in the saddle for the first time, he can make it third time lucky in the Midlands.

Race 4 – WORRALS 4/1

WORRALS was off the mark at the third attempt two weeks back on soft ground at Goodwood when a narrow winner of a 1m maiden.

This progressive filly.rates highly and could score again in the Abba Fever July 6th Book Now Handicap.

Yaajooz went well at Yarmouth a month ago finishing a good third in a 1m maiden. May go close again with handicap experience.

Phoenix Duchess showed ability here recently managing a 2.75L second in a course and distance handicap. Continues at the same level and holds every chance.

Alvesta is open to further progress after a break with Oisin Murphy booked, so could grab a place.

Race 6 – REYAADAH STAR 28/10

REYAADAH STAR bolted up at Kempton three weeks ago and can follow up in the Dine In Sherwoods Restaurant This Season Fillies’ Handicap.

Charlie Johnston’s filly made a fairly inauspicious start to her career when unseating Daniel Muscutt at Southwell, but proved she has a degree of ability with a couple of decent efforts in defeat on her next two starts.

She was prohibitive odds to make the most of what looked a gilt-edged opportunity on her most recent outing and did so in some style, making virtually every yard of the running and pulling seven lengths clear of her rivals without being extended.

Making her handicap debut off what looks a workable mark of 72, Reyaadah Star should be hard to beat on her first start on turf.

Race 8 – PATRONAGE 4/1

PATRONAGE showed plenty of ability at Beverley when second attempting a 1m2f handicap. This progressive three-year-old could find more improvement and rates highly.

Givitawhirl is an unexposed three-year-old making handicap debut. Steps up in journey and warrants a market check.

Similar comments can be applied to Penalty Shootout who has Murphy in the saddle, so will be of interest.

BRIGHTON

Race 1 – STREET PARADE 5/1

It is not too difficult to make a case for STREET PARADE in the Bet £10 Get £10 At Yeeehaaa.Bet Handicap.

Michael Attwater’s veteran sprinter is a regular visitor to the seaside circuit, winning once and placing seven times from 13 visits in total.

Having gone through 2023 without success, the eight-year-old made a promising start to the new campaign when second here earlier in the month and given his current rating of 51 is 12lb below his last winning mark, the handicapper has given him every chance of getting back in the winner’s circle.

Race 3 – UNCLE DICK 5/2

UNCLE DICK is expected to defy top-weight in the Yeeehaaa.Bet Handicap.
Eve Johnson Houghton’s charge is five from seven at the track and a 2lb rise for his latest triumph does not look insurmountable.

Race 4 – SAILING ON 5/4

Eight-race maiden SAILING ON has placed on four occasions. Was beaten into third last month and the Best Odds Guaranteed At Yeeehaaa.Bet Handicap could make the breakthrough.

On The Right Track may have needed the run when last of six on the all weather recently and could bounce back.

Hurtle showed improved form finishing second at this track in latest. Rates a chance to build on that effort.

Race 6 – MUDLAHHIM 5/2

MUDLAHHIM has run three times at this course in recent weeks. Finished second over seven furlongs last start and may go one better.

Rivas Rob Roy showed signs of a return to form when third last month. Nicely weighted to be in the mix.

Arlo’s Sunshine placed on his previous two outings at this track and will be thereabouts.

HUNTINGDON

Race 1 – THERAPIST 91/100

THERAPIST maintains good form winning on seasonal debut and rates a leading contender in the opening Winners Choose My Pension Expert Mares’ Handicap Hurdle.

Billams Legacy arrives here after a solid second at Uttoxeter. Going well and likely to be thereabouts.

Obsessedwithyou provided eye-catching performance at Stratford-On-Avon over 2m1/2f. Gavin Sheehan retains the ride and has place claims.
Lady Gwen wasn’t seen to best effect finishing downfield last time. Capable of better. Worth giving another chance.

Race 2 – MOSTLY SUNNY 56/100

MOSTLY SUNNY was popular in the market when beaten by half a length at Southwell over two miles. Sure to be prominent once more.

United Front delivers first start for a new yard. May need the run for fitness but could play a big part.

Vivid Pink unseated racing at big odds at Ludlow. Worth another chance in what looks easier.

Midnight Lion struggled on only hurdle outing. Flat form is useful so warrants thought.

Race 4 – EDISON KENT 10/1

EDISON KENT can benefit from better ground and a 3lb drop in the weights for Lilly Pinchin and James Owen in the My Pension Expert Handicap Hurdle.

Pulled up on his last two starts, he is fancied to get back to the sort of form that saw the eight-year-old win at Fakenham in December following wind surgery.

Race 6 – TREVADA 4/10

TREVADA can continue to transfer his impressive point-to-point form to the racetrack in the concluding My Pension Expert Advisers Of Champions Novices’ Hunters’ Chase.

A dual winner between the flags twice earlier this year, he was last seen scoring by 50 lengths in what ended up being a match race at Fakenham. A repeat of that performance should be too much for the field.
