Top heavy-weight Bernard Fayd’herbe takes over duties today. He gets a pair of blinkers fitted and an extra two furlongs this afternoon.

HORSE HAIZI is the only runner on the day from the Duncan McKenzie yard. She has shown consistent form of late and she may be able to improve on solid c&d efforts today. She is a speedy sort who may be able to fend off all challengers in the closing stages.

SOLEMN PROMISE’s first two runs for her new stable have both been good and she should continue to make further improvement here. The drop in trip is a slight concern, but the manner in which she won her last start, she may still be ahead of the handicapper.
