MY WORD MY BOND has shown some improved form in the Cape and his pedigree suggests that he will relish today’s ten furlongs on his local debut. The runner-up of his last outing, Dorset Noble is highly regarded and won a very good subsequent contest which boosts the formline. The chestnut gelding is well drawn at gate 2 and should prove tough to beat.

BAAHIR is versatile and boasts some useful recent form on this track, with his best local performance coming when he was outrun late into 2nd over this c & d, three runs back. His unfavourable draw is a slight concern but still, the four-year-old bay gelding should go really well in this low-key affair.
