HAROLD THE DUKE was not disgraced when third in the Non-Black Type Port Elizabeth Gold Cup last time. He should have finished closer to the winner that day as he was steadied at the 300m mark. He has won once, finished second once and third twice from as many starts on this course. He takes a big drop in class and can notch up his fourth-career victory.

Chase Maujean is likely to settle him near the rear of the field and he will be mowing down the frontrunners.
