PACKING HURRICANE is going for four wins on the trot. He defeated HIT THE SHOT to win his last start and despite coming in at the top of the weights he is difficult to oppose on form. TOTAL POWER finished 1.3 lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on similar terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair in this opening contest.

13:15 – Race 2 | Class 5 | 1800m

Selections: 3/11/5

CLASSIC ARCHI was beaten just over a length by Circuit Elite last time. He has cracked pole and should give another good account of himself. BARON ZEE finished alongside the top selection in the race already mentioned. He comes in with a light weight and the booking of Karis Teetan to ride is a big plus.

13:45 – Race 3 | Class 4 | 1650m

Selections: 9/5/2

HAPPY ANGEL raced on the speed throughout last time when beaten a neck at the wire. He is nicely handicapped and the drop back to a mile shouldn’t pose a concern. The Doug Whyte trained DURHAM STAR was beaten 1.5 lengths off the winner last time and it is encouraging that Luke Ferraris has kept faith in the ride.

14:15 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1200m

SIGHT HERO challenged strongly all the way to the line when beaten half a length by GOLDEN LUCK. He is 2kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. DENFIELD has decent form lines to his credit and he returns from a short break which may have done him the world of good.

14:45 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1650m

Selections: 4/1/5

TURQUOISE ALPHA is the only horse in the race to have won his last start albeit on the All Weather course at Sha Tin. He has cracked an inside draw and is the narrow first selection. PACKING SUCCEEDER drops back to Class 4. He has run some decent races in this division and could be one to fill the exacta spot.

15:15 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

Selections: 8/4/6

TOGEPI and STORMTROUPER were only separated by half a length last time. The pair meet on similar terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair in the run down to the line. YOUNG LIFE FOREVER is better than his below par last effort and it will be no surprise to see him return to best form.

15:45 – Race 7 | Class 4 | 1200m

Selections: 6/4/2

SPEEDY CHARIOT is still lightly raced and delivered a good performance when narrowly-beaten by The Runner. A repeat of that effort should put him right in the mix. KING INVINCIBLE was beaten just under a length by Golden Luck last time and it will be interesting to see if the form line is done any favors in Race 4.

16:15 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1650m

Selections: 9/5/3

SPLENDID LIVING has attractive form lines to his credit. He loves this course and the manner which he won his last start suggests he can follow up on his recent victory. LOYAL BABY was beaten a nose by Sixth Generation last time. He has cracked a neat draw and will be looking to make up for the narrow defeat.

16:50 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1200m

Selections: 2/9/3

REWARD SMILE finished off his race strongly when beaten a neck behind SUPERB CAPITALIST. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. VICTORY SCHOLARS almost went gun to tape last time when caught by Power Koepp in the closing stages. He is likely to adopt similar tactics and may be difficult to peg back in the lucky last!
