HANG’S CHOICE has been narrowly beaten in his last two starts. He is nicely handicapped in this opening contest and can earn his first career victory. ANGELS HUNTER finished a length behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on similar weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in the run down to the line.
13:15 – Race 2 | Class 4 | 2200m

REACH GOAL finished close-up behind Packing Hurricane who has since franked the form. Top jockey Hugh Bowman takes the ride and this combination will have plenty of followers. GALLANT HERO won his last start on the All Weather and is going for a hat-trick of wins. He tries 2200m for the first time and may be suited to the extra ground on offer.
13:45 – Race 3 | Class 4 | 1650m

The joint top weight SPLENDID LIVING was beaten the narrowest of margins by FORTUNE PRESIDENT in his last start. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. ASIAN ONE has finished positively on the all-weather in recent outings and is also very effective on turf.
14:15 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1200m

CHARMING STEED has finished runner-up in his last two starts. He shoulders minimal weight and from barrier 2 should give another good account of himself. FLAMING EAGLE was only beaten a neck in his last start and it is encouraging that Vincent Ho has kept faith in the ride.
14:45 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1000m

SUPER AXIOM was pipped at the wire by ACE TALENT in his penultimate start. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights on that run and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. NICETOBEMET was beaten a length by back-to-back winner Atomic Energy last time. He is still lightly raced and must be included in all bets.
15:15 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

YOUNG LIFE FOREVER has found one better in both runs since returning from a two-month layoff. SOLAR PARTNER is still winless but he produced a good comeback run over seven furlongs. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and can challenge the top selection.
15:45 – Race 7 | Class 3 | 1200m

PARTY WARRIOR is nicely weighted and finished close-up behind the progressive Hoss last time. He has cracked an inside draw and should be one of the leading contenders. VICTORY SCHOLARS finished a couple of lengths behind the top selection in his last outing. He is 1.5kgs worse off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result.
16:15 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1650m

SIXTH GENERATION won his last start impressively by four lengths over this C&D. He has cracked pole and should take a power of beating in this line-up. ROYAL PRIDE was beaten just under a length by VIVA POPCORN last time. He comes in at the bottom of the weights and could be one to fill the exacta spot.
16:50 – Race 9 | Class 2 | 1800m
Selections: 4/10/7
SWORD POINT challenged strongly all the way to the line in a Group 3 last time. He drops back to 1800m and is interestingly having his first run at Happy Valley. NIMBLE NIMBUS was a beaten favourite when just under two lengths behind Encountered. He has cracked a neat draw and will be looking to bounce back to winning ways in the lucky last!
