The 10-year-old RED ELYSEES has finished runner-up in his last two outings. He comes in at the top of the weights and should be one of the leading contenders in this opening contest.

THETA HEDGE was a beaten favourite in his last start when close-up behind Alloy King over this course and distance. JACK WIN finished a couple of lengths behind the top selection last time. The pair meet on the same terms and he may have to settle for the same result. FINGERS CROSSED showed good improvement last time and could be one to fill the trifecta spot.

FEARLESS FIRE challenged strongly all the way to the line when narrowly beaten by Romantic Laos. Luke Currie knows him well and the combination merit healthy respect. GANG OF BROTHERS produced back-to-back wins on this course earlier in the season and he must also be in with a shout.

MELBOURNE HALL finished off his race well last time when beaten a length by SNOWALOT. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. CHEER FOR SOUTH showed good improvement last time and it is encouraging that Karis Teetan has kept faith in the ride.

AMAZING BOY was running on late when second behind London Luckystar. All three of his wins have come on this course and he will have plenty of followers. READY PLAYER ONE produced a fair last effort behind back-to-back winner Gang Of Brothers. He should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and is a genuine contender in this line-up.
15:15 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

KING INVINCIBLE is still learning about racing and hasn’t finished far off the winner in all three starts. He is trying an extra furlong and can earn his first career win if seeing out the extra distance. SIGHT HERO brings consistent form lines into this contest. He was beaten a nose under Michael Dee last time and will be looking to make amends.

S J TOURBILLON finished half a length behind HIT THE SHOT last time. The pair meet on similar terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in the run down to the line. MAJESTIC VICTORY is nicely handicapped in this contest and the booking of Zac Purton to ride is a big plus.

SEASONS WIT and HARMONY N BLESSED renew a healthy rivalry. The Jamie Richards-trained inmate is a horse that is still on the upgrade and looks one of the better bets on the card. ATOMIC ENERGY is an improving three-year-old. He comes in with a light weight and has run some decent races at Happy Valley.

REWARD SMILE followed up his recent win with another solid effort when just under a length behind Lucky Encounter. He has cracked a good draw and should take a power of beating if suited to this course. PHOENIX LIGHT finished a length behind XPONENTIAL in his penultimate start. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and must also be strongly considered in the lucky last!
