The well-related daughter of Erupt is a progressive type and if not in need of this outing, she should find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

INTREPID ACT is one of the better bets on this card. He ran a good race when finishing fourth in his first outing for the Garth Puller stable. The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The son of Act Of War takes a big rise in distance to 1700m and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he should be too good for this field.
Race 5: MOTOWN MAGIC (7)
Jockey: Yeni M – Trainer: De Kock M
MOTOWN MAGIC was super-impressive when winning his last start over 2400m on the Vaal Classic course. He set the pace, found another kick and drew clear of the opposition. The son of Uncle Mo takes a big drop in class and if suited to the polytrack, he can notch up his third career victory.

MISS CHARLOTTE has finished third in her last three starts. She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she was brushed by another horse from the 400m mark to the 100m mark. If not too far of out her ground turning for home, she can notch up her fourth career victory.

This is a competitive Merit Rated 81 Handicap and caution is advised. The narrow first selection is MAJORCA PALACE from the Carl Hewitson camp.
