QUINLAN returns home after two starts in feature races on the Highveld. The gelding was not disgraced in either of those runs and could bounce back to winning ways here. He is in fact unbeaten in four starts over the c&d and all eight of his wins to date have been posted over the minimum distance.

More than half of the field in this event are making their debuts this afternoon and as is always the case in these type of events, a keen eye should be kept on the betting markets to get some indication of how the various stables think about their chances of winning this event. SILVERY HEIGHTS is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she ran on strongly in her last outing over this distance on the poly. A line should be drawn right through her penultimate start as she refused to gallop. Without that run, she would have won her only outing over the c&d.
