Race 6
CATADUDE
had his
consistency rewarded with his maiden win last time out over five furlongs on
this surface. He finished strongly that day, so his awkward draw of seventeen
may not be as big an issue and he will have his cause aided by having 2kgs
taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. MONSIEUR MACRON is
seldom far off the action and finished just under a length off the winner in
his last outing over this c&d. He is a speedy sort who will have 1.5kgs
removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice. CHANNING
stayed on well when winning his last start over the c&d by 1.5L. On that
effort, he should be involved in the finish today. POLYXENA is a 5yr old
mare taking on the boys, but she showed good improvement in her last outing
over five furlongs when returning from a 10 week rest. She has a handy two draw
and will have a 2kg claiming appie in the irons.

Race 7
BIG
ACHEEVA
had made
steady improvement before winning his maiden contest last time out over the
c&d. He stayed on well that day and although taking on stronger here, he
may well be up to the task on hand. DO YOU RECKON has recorded two solid
runs over this distance and was just 1.7L back last time out. He has drawn gate
ten, but he possesses good early gate speed which he is likely to use to move
across without using up too much energy. He has a 3kgs apprentice in the saddle
who could take advantage of the weight reduction. KISLINA is 3yr old
filly taking on males, but she won at only the second time of asking over six
furlongs on this surface when returning from a lengthy 55 week break. She has a
handy three draw and should ensure that the boys know that they have been in a
race.

Race 8
ENCANTO
followed up his
penultimate victory over 1500M with a second place finish next time out when
returning from a 46 week break. He gets the services of a 2kg claiming
apprentice and if not in need of one more run, he looks to be the value in the
race. SHE’S SENSATIONAL is a 4yr old filly taking on boys, but she
battled all the way down to the wire when only beaten a head last time out over
six furlongs. She steps up in trip today and is drawn eleven out of twelve, but
if showing the same determination here, she could be the immediate danger to
the top choice. BULLET MASTER is seldom too far behind the winner. He
raced wide into the straight last time out over 1500M and should have finished
closer as a result. He jumps from gate four and should be included in all
bets.

Race 9
DEEP
DIVE
returns
from a 19 week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, so his
fitness will have to be taken on trust, but he was hampered in running when
finishing 3.7L back in his last outing before the break. He starts from gate
five and could prove good enough to record his second career victory today. NAVAL
ENVOY is drawn one inside the former and should put that handy gate to good use
as he is a speedy sort who may prove difficult to reel in over the closing
stages of the race. OH SO REWARDING was a narrow winner of his last start over
the c&d. He faces a wideish draw of eight, but he should be doing his best
work late.

Race 4
With four late
scratchings in this race, REMLAPS GEM
 is
likely to start a very short priced favourite, but he should oblige and is made
the best bet on today’s program. He followed up his promising debut over five
furlongs with a comfortable victory over this c&d next time out. From gate
two, it might be a case of just how far he will win by. SNIPEX ABAA is a 6yr old mare who is drawn alongside
the former in pole position. She was run out of it late when 3.3L back last
time out over the c&d, but may still struggle to topple the former. GEOTIME on the other hand is drawn the widest of
them all, but he stayed on over the closing stages of his latest outing over
five furlongs and could be the best of the balance of the field.

Race 5
REUBEN
JAMES
has
consistent formlines to his credit and was only a head behind the winner in his
last outing over seven furlongs. He finished well that day and on that showing,
he should appreciate the extra ground on offer today. MANSENETA showed marked improvement in his
last start when only beaten a head over the c&d. He gets a set of blinkers
fitted for the first time and if these have the desired effect, he should be
involved in the finish. BANDAHARA has cracked pole
position and has improved in his last two runs, the latest when third over this
c&d. If he has continued down that same path, he should be respected in
this line-up.

Race 6
TOTAL RECALL returns
from a 19 week break, but has put in two solid barrier trials. He takes a big
drop in distance, but he was bumped on a few occasions when finishing second
over nine furlongs in the run before the rest and if not finding the trip on
the sharp side, he should be right up there when they hit the line. ENTREAT is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she
is seldom far off the action and did finish second in her last outing over
seven furlongs. The blinkers are re-fitted for today’s run and if these get her
to concentrate all the way to the finish, she could threaten the top choice. WHATSIN is also a 3yr old filly. She has only had
the two runs to date, but she improved in her second outing when going over a
slightly longer journey. She steps up in distance once again today and this could
be to her liking.

Race 7
COSMIC
KING
has his
first run after a 21 week rest, but he has had the benefit of two barrier
trials. He won by a half length on debut over six furlongs, but was immediately
give the break. He could be just about anything and any betting support for him
should be respected. NICCIROSE will start from pole position and
showed solid improvement in his last two outings over 1100M at this venue. He
seems certain to enjoy going the extra distance and should be right up there to
pick up the pieces should the top choice fluff his lines. THE SNOOPERSTAR won his penultimate start over 1100M at this track, but
was then disappointing next time out over the same c&d. He has an awkward
ten draw, but he could prefer
going over the extra ground and should be included in all bets.

Race 8

This looks to be a
very competitive race, with plenty in with chances. BUCKLE UP BABY is a 4yr old
filly taking on boys, but she chased down the leaders strongly to win her last
outing over seven furlongs and could complete the double here. She jumps from a
handy four gate and should give the males a good run for their money. ONENESS
 has
put in two encouraging last efforts and finished third in his penultimate
outing over this distance, just a half length behind the victor. He has pole
position and should make his presence felt here.
LUGA LAD missed out on his hat-trick when staying on
last time out over six furlongs. On that effort, he should have no issue
getting the seven furlongs. EIGER was a tad
disappointing in his latest start over 1100M, but the blinkers are re-fitted
for today’s run and he may do better as a result.

Race 1
With the one late scratching in the race, just
five runners will face the starter here and it looks a formality for BRING ME SHOWERS to exit the maiden ranks today. She was just beaten in
her last start over 1640M when she started her run too late after being held up
in the straight. JUST WISHING was only overhauled late when finishing second in
her last outing, 1.2L behind the former in the race mentioned above. She looks
the closest danger to the top choice. THE GOOD THE BAD steps up in distance
from her last start over 1500M and is likely to complete the trifecta.

Race 4
INITIALIZE is
a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she is seldom far off the action and
finished fourth last time out over five furlongs. She was staying on that day,
suggesting the extra distance will be to her liking. SAY I CEE YOU has cracked pole position and was bumped at the start
before making good late progress to finish 4.4L behind the winner over 1300M. With
better luck today, he could trouble the top pick. AMSCHEL
 made
good improvement when finishing just over four lengths back in his last outing
over six furlongs. His jockey unfortunately dropped his crop in the run down to
the wire that day.
Race 5
ADDOCARR followed
up his penultimate win over 1500M with a second place finish over this c&d
next time out. He raced up with the pace that day and may prove difficult to
reel in over the closing stages of today’s contest. His handy two draw is a
plus. IPSO NEM FELEK takes a drop in distance after finishing
third in his last outing over ten furlongs and may do better as a result. THE
EQUALIZER
made good improvement in his latest run over a
mile. He was making good late progress that day and seems certain to appreciate
the extra ground on offer here.

Race 6
This looks to be a
very open F&M Handicap and some caution is advised. The tentative top
selection goes to FLATTER
who returns from a 20 week break,
but has had the benefit of two barrier trials. She had consistent formlines to
her credit before her rest and from gate four, she is likely to turn in another
honest performance here. COURSESHEWILL showed marked improvement in her
last outing over five furlongs and if she is able to confirm that effort, she
could threaten the former. MAGIC INK finished third in
her last start over five furlongs and will get 3kgs taken off her back thanks
to her claiming apprentice. She jumps from draw eight and should be included in
all calculations.
GINGER
ROCK
returns
from a 16 week rest and has not had a barrier trial, so her fitness will have
to be taken on trust. She did however run on well in her penultimate run over
five furlongs and could be a factor in this line-up.

Race 7

BANGERS AND MAYO won
his penultimate start over this c&d and then battled on gamely before
finishing 2.3L back next time out over six furlongs. He has a wide draw of
thirteen to overcome, but he should be picking off the frontrunners in the
latter stages of the race and is taken to be the value in the contest. SOJOURNIST is a 6yr old mare taking on boys, but she is drawn in gate
three and has her first run for her new trainer. If fully acclimatized in her
new environment and on some of her better efforts, she should be right up there
in the firing line. DARING BELLE
is a 3yr old filly who
will jump from pole position. She followed up her victory three runs back over
the c&d with two encouraging next efforts over the same distance. She
should be viewed as a big runner here.
