Race 4
FURPHY has made steady recent improvement culminating with his maiden victory by just under a length last time out over 1300M, despite taking a bump at the start. He made good late progress that day suggesting that the extra distance will be to his liking. He jumps from gate seven and looks to be the one to side with here. COULD YOU BE LOVED is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys. She is seldom far off the action and stayed on well before finishing third last time out over seven furlongs, one and a half lengths behind the winner. She could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. RUNAMUK is a 5yr old mare who has posted two solid recent efforts over this distance, the latest when third over this c&d. She will have to negotiate a wide draw nine, but she battled all the way down to the wire in that last run and is likely to be doing her best work late.
Race 5
MORINGA’S AMORDORO is a speedy sort who won by two and a half lengths over five furlongs on debut at this track. He did win his two barrier trials prior to that outing, so clearly has some ability. No doubt he would have learned from that run and from draw six, he could be good enough to complete his double today. FINAL KAWANA also won on debut over five furlongs. He by contrast to the former, finished strongly to win by just under a length after being slowly away. He too would have come on with the run under his belt and despite having gate nine to overcome, he could threaten the top pick. QUEENOFTHECASTLE is a 4yr old filly taking on males and returns from a 30-week absence without having the benefit of a barrier trial, so her fitness will have to be taken on trust. She was slightly disappointing last time out when stepping up to six furlongs, but she was hanging in the closing stages of the race. She is drawn one inside the latter and should be involved in the finish.
Race 6
A 6yr old and a 7yr old mare could fight out the finish to this race and secure the exacta, but the firm top selection goes to SAVANNA JEUNE who has recorded two solid last runs, the latest when finishing third last time out over five furlongs at this track, just over a length back from the victor, this despite being bumped at the start. She finished strongly that day, suggesting that the extra ground on offer today will be to her liking. She has gate seven and is taken to be the best bet on the day’s card. VIVID IMAGE has cracked pole position and was only run out of it late in her last outing over five furlongs. She improved that day and if she has continued down that same path, she could be the biggest danger to the former. DEXTER DUTTON showed marked improvement in his last start when ending up second over five furlongs, just under a length behind the winner. He is faced with a wide draw thirteen, but he stayed on well that day and will likely be dropped out of it in the early stages and be picking off the frontrunner in the latter stages of the contest.

Race 7
BOZEMAN followed up his penultimate run victory over this c&d with a third-place finish over seven furlongs, just a length behind the winner. He tried to go from jump to wire that day and from gate three, he could prove difficult to reel in as they dash down to the wire. VIVENDO IL SOGNO stepped up to six furlongs for his last outing after being a short-head loser of his penultimate start over 1100M. The form of that race has been franked and he should be included in all bets. CAMPARI SODA is a 5yr old mare taking on boys, but she won her last outing by a head when returning from a 20-week rest, even though she was friendless in the betting markets. She will have to beat a wide draw of 11, but she should be closing in on the leaders over the latter stages.

Race 4
CRACKER ESSGEE has posted two solid last runs, the latest when finishing second last time out over six furlongs, two lengths behind the winner. He was only run out of it late that day and although having to overcome a wide draw of fourteen, be should be right up there when they hit the line. COLLOMBATTI has made steady improvement in his last two starts, finishing third in his last outing over five furlongs, just under two lengths back when returning from a 20-week rest. He has a much kinder gate four and will have 3kgs removed from his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. ARTEMIS GIRL is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys. She was making good late progress before finished fifth over five furlongs on debut suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to her liking. She would have learned from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, she should be involved in the finish today.

Race 5
BRAD has won four on the trot, the last three over 1300M. He hit the front as they turned for home in his latest victory and then fought off all challenger to win by two lengths going away from the opposition. He has drawn gate seven and could be the one that they all have to beat. BEAU JET won by just under one length over five furlongs at this venue last time out, despite racing wide in the early stages. He is drawn the widest of them all at gate ten, but he could be the biggest danger to the top choice. BERAHT on the other hand has cracked pole position. He had his consistency rewarded with a head victory last time out over five furlongs where he battled all the way down to the wire and should be included in all bets.
Race 6
COLD POWER has finished second in his last three runs over this trip, the latest when a head back after finishing strongly. He jumps from gate eight and will be hoping to go one better today. DOUBLE DENMAN is a 5yr old mare taking on males. She is drawn one inside the top pick and was only chased down late in her last start over six furlongs. She is sure to appreciate the drop in distance of this contest. FINAL WARNING won over this c&d three runs back and then followed that up with two second-place finishes, the latest just a short-head back over six furlongs. She has her first run after a 13-week rest and has not had a barrier trial. She has a wide draw of thirteen but possesses early gate speed which she is likely to use to move across without expending too much energy.

Race 7
SYLVESTER is seldom far off the action and fought off the chasing pack when winning his last outing over five furlongs by a head. He has a handy draw three and if showing the same determination here, he should be right up there in the firing line. CABALO ESCURO is a 4yr old filly taking on boys, but she showed marked improvement when ending up in second place in her latest start over the c&d. She is drawn one outside the former and has her first run for her new trainer, but if fully settled into her new surroundings, she could pose a threat to the top selection. SUCH A WHIT made good late progress when finishing second in his last run over 1100M, after having won her penultimate outing over five furlongs. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and will be hoping to make amends here. He gets a wide gate thirteen, but he should be doing his best work late.

Race 6
THE ENZO ran second in his penultimate start when stepping up to the mile, but then won his next start over the same trip next time out when hitting the front at the 100M mark and then staying on strongly to win by 1.3l. He has cracked pole position and is taken to be the best bet on the day’s card. I’LL BE GONE has put in two solid last runs, the latest when winning by a head over this mile journey. He raced up with the pace that day and is sure to put his draw two to good use. PIERRO ROSE is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She showed marked improvement when ending up third in her last start over seven furlongs, just over two lengths behind the winner when returning from a 21-week break. She has a handy gate four and should be involved in the finish today.
Race 7
PUFNSTUF has consistent formlines to his name and has finished second in his last three outings, the latest over 2250M. He will have to negotiate a wide draw of 10, but he will be hoping to go one better today. RUN THE SHOW is another with consistent form and was rewarded with a victory over this c&d last time out by almost a length, despite hanging over the closing stages of the contest. He faces an even wider draw of thirteen but could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. EATON is seldom far off the action and battled all the way down to the wire to end up second in his last start over ten furlongs, 0.8L behind the winner. He is another with a wide draw, in his case gate eleven, but he nevertheless should be considered for all bets.
Race 8
Two 4yr old fillies and a 7yr old mare could fight out the finish to this race and complete the trifecta, but the top pick goes to WARROWIE ROSE who stayed on strongly to win her maiden race last time out over six furlongs by one and a half lengths. She takes on stronger today, but has pulled gate five and looks to be the value bet on the day’s program. Although WASABI is recorded as finishing sixth in her last outing over five furlongs, she was just three and a half lengths behind the winner. She was making late progress that day and whilst drawn in gate nine, on the plus side, she will have 3kgs removed from her back thanks to her claiming apprentice to aid her cause. MISS MITZIE is a speedy sort who showed good improvement to win her maiden race last time out over six furlongs. She is drawn one outside the latter and should not be lightly dismissed in this line-up.
Race 9
As with the previous race, fillies and mares could show the boy’s home here. GINNY ANN followed up two consecutive second-place finishes with a third-place last time out over six furlongs, just over two lengths behind the victor. She was severely hampered that day and with better luck in running today, she could find herself in the winner’s box. She jumps from draw six, which will do her no harm. ONCE UPON A DREAM has an even better pole position and finished strongly to end up fifth last time out over six furlongs, 2.8L back from the winner. She will get 2kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice. CINCINNATI RED likes to pace it up with the leaders in her races and showed improvement last time out over 1300M when finishing three and a half lengths behind the winner. She is sure to use that early speed to move across from her gate twelve without using up too much energy.
