Race 5.
Two 3yr old fillies could fight out the finish to this race, but the strong top pick is CHANTREA who has won all three of her starts to date, the penultimate one over this distance. She was victorious last time out over six furlongs when returning from a 18 week rest and will be aided by having pole position. She looks to be very difficult to topple here and is made the best bet on the card. GINGER FLYER is seldom far off the action and will get the blinkers removed for today’s outing and may do better as a result. She looks to be the immediate danger to the former. CLASSY MACRO won his maiden race last time out over a mile by 6.3L and whilst taking on stronger here, he should be involved in the finish. IRRITABLE RODNEE was a touch disappointing last time out over 1500M, but on some of his prior form, he should be considered.

Race 7.
MARXIAN won his last outing over 2100M by nearly two lengths. He pulled clear of the opposition that day suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking. YEAH BRAVO has cracked pole position and steps up in distance after finishing fifth last time out over 1700M, just two lengths back. He likes to race up with the pace and if suited to the extra trip, he could prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages. DIPLOMAT EXPRESS is drawn one outside the latter and finished third in his latest outing over ten furlongs when friendless in the betting market. He should not be overlooked in this line-up. TWENTYTHREE RED comes out of the same race over ten furlongs mentioned above when 3.2L behind DIPLOMAT EXPRESS, but he jumped awkwardly that day and could finish closer to his rival today.

Race 8.
TIFF HAS SPOKEN showed marked improvement when dropping back in distance last time out over six furlongs. He finished well that day and is sure to enjoy going the extra ground here. He has a wideish draw of nine, but if he has continued down that same path, he is taken to be the value in the race. MONTELENA returns after a 16 week break and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial. She is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but drops back in trip and has pulled pole position which is a plus. If not too much in need of the run, she could threaten the top choice. LIES ‘N’ DECEPTION won his maiden race last time out over six furlongs. He has a wide draw of eleven to negotiate, but he should use his early gate speed to get across without using up too much energy. TRAMIKA has his peak run here and steps up in journey from his latest run when fourth over five furlongs and should have some sort of chance in this field.

Race 9.
The top four selections have all got wide draws to deal with, but they are drawn alongside each other, so no one should have too much of an advantage. The first choice goes to FORGOTTEN JEWEL who won on debut over seven furlongs and was then rested for 18 weeks. He returns after putting in a solid barrier trial and could be good enough to record his double here. REWRITE THE STARS is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she has posted two good efforts over six furlongs and could threaten the top pick. She is a speedy type who should be right up there in the dash down to the wire. SWEET STRAWBERRY is also a 3yr old filly who showed good improvement last time out over six furlongs. She should be chasing down the frontrunners over the latter stages of the contest. STREET FAIR has his first run since a 15 week rest. He has had the one barrier trial and is another who should be doing his best work late.

Race 10.
A 6yr old mare and two 4yr old fillies could dominate the finish of this race and complete the trifecta. FLOWER OF SCOTLAND has her hat-trick run after winning her last two outings over six furlongs, the latest by a healthy 3.5L margin. She will have 3kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice. MISSING PRO has consistent formlines to her credit, finishing second in her last start over this c&d, just 0.8L behind the victor. She is another who will get 3kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming appie. Her wide draw of thirteen is however a concern. CITY CIRCLE returns from a 15 week break and no barrier trial, so her fitness will have to be taken on trust. She was a tad disappointing in her last outing before the rest, but if bouncing back to some of her better form, she should be included in all bets. KENNEDY won last time out over the c&d despite being friendless in the betting markets and from his handy two draw, he could spoil the girls party.

Race 1.
With the two late scratchings, only six runners will line up here for today’s opening event. BRUTALITY has finished second in his last two outings over six furlongs. He finished strongly in his last start suggesting that the extra distance will be right up his street. From his handy two draw, he looks to be the one that they all have to beat. ZOUNATE has put in two solid runs over 1500m and should appreciate the slight rise in trip. He is drawn alongside the former and could be his biggest danger. TERONITO stayed on well in his last start over seven furlongs and should be involved in the finish today. CHATEAUX PARK finished sixth last time out over seven furlongs, but could struggle to beat the top three selections.

Race 3.
HEART OF SIENA finished second when making her debut over six furlongs, despite being friendless in the betting markets. She would have learnt from the experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, she could go one better today. GLOBAL QUEEN is one of the three unraced runners in the contest. She has however had four barrier trials, winning the last two. She is draw wide at gate ten, but any betting support for her should be respected. The same comment applies to EASIFAR who also has her first start. She is drawn even wider out at twelve, but she has had three barrier trials and if not too green, she could be a factor in this field. TASTEBUD showed the expected improvement second time out when beaten a head over six furlongs. If he has continued along that same path, he could trouble the top three selections.

Race 4.
ASSAULT’N’BATHORY is seldom far off the action and ended up second last time out over a mile. He jumps from gate seven, but he likes to race up with the pace in his races, so this might not be a big problem. SHOWMINDER was a narrow winner of his last start over seven furlongs when returning from a 20 week absence. He is drawn one outside the former and if not in need of one more outing, he should be right up there when the hit the line. BLACK WAND finished strongly to win his last run over seven furlongs and on that showing, he should appreciate the extra ground on offer here. HOLY REIGN stayed on in his last outing over 1500M and should also enjoy going over the slightly longer trip.

Race 5.
REIBY’S REGENT followed up his three-length victory over 1300M with a second-place finish, beaten just a head, next time out over seven furlongs. He jumps from a handy three draw and could be the value bet on the day. LANCASTER BOMBER has consistent formlines to his credit and won by a length last time out over six furlongs. He will certainly keep the top pick honest. SWEEPING STATEMENT is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has her hat-trick run today after winning her last two starts over 1100M. She has a wide draw of fifteen to negotiate, but she is likely to employ her early gate speed to move across without using up too much energy. BELLA ROSA is also a 3yr old filly who showed marked improvement last time out when finishing third over five furlongs. She also has a wide draw to overcome, but she could be picking off the frontrunners in the closing stages of the contest.

Race 6.
LANDO BAY has his hat-trick attempt here after winning his last two starts over nine furlongs. He is drawn wide out at gate nine, but he is likely to be doing his best work late and complete the trio of victories. MONASTERIO finished third last time out over the c&d, just over a length behind the winner. He likes to race handy in his races and should be right up there to pick up the pieces should the top choice fluff his lines. TEPARIO is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she too goes for her hat-trick today. Both of her prior victories have been achieved over shorter, but is she handles the extra ground here, she should give the boys a good run for their money. MONSIEUR SISU finished fourth last time out over the c&d. He has a mid-field draw and should be considered in this field.
