Race 4
TRENGGANU followed up his penultimate run victory over five furlongs, where he won by nearly seven lengths, with a second place finish next time out over 1100M, just a head back from the winner. He lost ground at the start that day, but recovered well to run on strongly in the closing stages. He gets to jump from draw four and will have 2kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. DOLLY SPARTAN is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she is seldom far off the action and finished third in her last outing over five furlongs when returning from a 27 week break. From gate eight, she should give the males a good run for their money. JUXTAPOSED has shown good improvement in his last two runs, winning his latest start over 1100M by 1.3L going away from the opposition. He is not without some sort of chance in this line-up.

Race 5
SCOTTISH MIST won her maiden race by one and a half lengths last time out over this c&d, despite shifting around in the closing stages of the contest. She is drawn in gate six and takes on stronger today, but if keeping to a straight course, she may well be up to the task on hand. PETUNIA had her consistency rewarded with her maiden victory last time out over the c&d. She made good late progress that day and although drawn wideish at gate nine, she should be doing her best work late. DAYTONA DANICA made marked improvement last time out to also secure her maiden win over this c&d, a half length in front at the line. She has a kinder draw two and should be involved in the finish here.

Race 6
BOBBY AXELROD showed good improvement when winning his last outing over the c&d by nearly two lengths. He was eased down going to the line after showing plenty of early speed that day and from a handy gate four, he may prove to be good enough to record his double here. KING’S RULE finished second in his last outing over six furlongs, one length off the winner when returning from a 21 week rest. He raced wide in that contest and although drawn the widest of them all at gate eleven, he should not be easily discounted. CELTIC TIGER is recorded as finishing fourth last time out over six furlongs, but he was only 0.9L behind the winner. He was hampered at the start in that run and did well to get as close to the winner as he did. His draw five will do him no harm.

Race 7
JEWEL OF THE CROWN is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she goes for her hat-trick here after winning her latest outing over 1710M at this track. She was cut into that day which makes the victory that much more encouraging. She has a wide draw of ten to negotiate, but she should be picking off the frontrunners in the dash down to the wire. FLYBRIDGE won his last outing when stepping up to seven furlongs. He takes another hike in distance today, but retains the services of ex-SA jockey Sean Cormack, so will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle. He has his peak run here and is drawn one inside the top choice. STANDING OVATION is another 5yr old mare. She has her second run after a 14 week rest and was the runner-up in her comeback outing over 1300M, two lengths behind the victor. She steps up in trip, but should have no problem with that as she finished third in her penultimate start over nine furlongs.

Race 4
Although COLOUR ME SON finished ninth on debut over six furlongs, he was only 1.9L behind the winner. He was immediately rested for 23 weeks after that run and returns here after finishing third in his barrier trial. He would have strengthened during the break and from a mid-field six draw, he could be the one that they all have to beat. WICKLOW PRINCESS is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys. She drops down in trip after finishing fourth last time out over seven furlongs, but this should not be an issue as she finished fifth in her penultimate outing over six furlongs. The blinkers are removed for today’s run and if this move has the desired effect, she could challenge the top choice. PRETTY FRIAR is also a 4yr old filly. She returns from a 19 week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, but she has pulled pole position and should appreciate the drop down in distance for today’s contest.
Race 5
This looks to be a tricky race and some caution is advised. AWESOME AS is an 8yr old mare taking on males and returns from a 22 week rest, but she did showcase her well-being by finishing second in her only barrier trial. She showed marked improvement in her last outing over 1300M before the break and from her handy gate four, she should be right up there when they hit the line. PATRISTIC disappointed last time out over 1300M, but if re-capturing the form that saw him finish fifth over seven furlongs three runs back, he should be involved in the finish here. OVER THERE is a 5yr old mare who has her first run since a 24 week break, but she did win her barrier trial and should be respected in this line-up. HYPERSPACE returns from a 22 week rest and did finish second in his only barrier trial. He gets to start from gate two and should make his presence felt here.
Race 6
SECRET STATUE is seldom too far off the action and finished fourth over seven furlongs in his last start, just over two lengths back from the winner. He has gate seven and will have his cause aided by having 3kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. PERI PERI PARA has cracked pole position and finished second in his last outing over a mile. He looked dangerous before being run out of it close to home that day and could be the biggest threat to the top pick. CAPE REIGN won his maiden race last by a head. He kept going well to hold off the late challengers and despite being drawn wide at gate eleven, he must have some sort of chance here.
Race 7
A 6yr old mare and a 4yr old filly could fight out the finish to this race and complete the exacta. PARISA was hampered in the straight in her last start when finishing third over five furlongs, just a neck behind the winner. She was friendless in the betting markets that day, but if reproducing that effort here, she looks to be the value bet on today’s program, jumping from her handy draw two. AMELIA BEDELIA finished fourth in her last outing over five furlongs, 1.7L off the victor. She will have to deal with a wide fourteen draw, but she possesses early gate speed which should enable her to move across without using up too much energy. OUR INSIDER was only outrun very late when finishing third in his last start over 1100M, just a half length behind the winner. He is another with a wide draw to negotiate, but he should be right up there in the dash down to the wire.

Race 5
LOGAN RIVER had shown gradual improvement in his two runs prior to winning his last start over five furlongs by a head. He was friendless in the betting markets that day, but he came with a strong late finish to get up on the line, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking. He jumps from a handy gate two and is made the best bet on today’s card. TERRA REIGN is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys. She has finished third in her last two outings, the latest over this distance. She made good late progress that day to end up three lengths off the winner and looks to be the biggest danger to the top choice, starting from draw four. KANERUPT returns from a lengthy 119 week absence from the race track, but he did finish third in his only barrier trial to prove his well-being. The fact that his connections have brought him back into racing suggests that they still believe that he has something more to offer them.
Race 6
The top three selections in the race have wide draws to deal with, but should nevertheless be involved in the finish here.  ROYAL MONARCH has gate twelve, but has consistent formlines to his name and ended up in third place last time out over six furlongs, just a half length behind the winner. He is likely to turn in another honest performance today. JAWWAAL has the widest draw of them all, but he demolished the opposition by over eleven lengths last time out over 1100M when dropping down to sprinting. He should use his early gate speed to move across without expending too much energy. FASHION TIP is drawn best of the top three in gate ten and is a 6yr old mare taking on males, but she stayed on well when finishing third in her latest outing over seven furlongs. The drop in trip should not be an issue as she finished fourth in her penultimate start over 1100m, 1.3L off the victor.
Race 7
MR KYLIN has his hat-trick attempt here and showed lots of determination when winning his latest run over 1100M. He jumps from a wideish gate eight, but if showing the same amount of courage here, he may prove to be good enough to complete the trio of victories. ENCONTI is an 8yr old mare taking on boys, but she was only outrun very late in her last outing over five furlongs. She was less than two lengths behind the winner that day and from gate six, she should be involved in the finish today. MOUSE ALMIGHTY is a 4yr old filly who has pulled pole position and who missed out on her hat-trick when finishing a somewhat disappointing ninth last time out over five furlongs. She returns from a 13 week rest, but posted a third place finish in her only barrier trial. She will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways today.
Race 8
PACKER’S BOND finished second on debut over this c&d, only a short-head behind the winner. He would have learnt from that experience and with the natural improvement that can he expected, he should give a good account of himself here. He does face the widest draw of gate eighteen, but he is likely to be dropped out of the race early and be picking off the frontrunners over the closing stages of the contest. DEEMED CORRUPT has recorded two solid recent last efforts, the latest when third over five furlongs. He is a speedy sort who may be able to keep rolling to hold on for the win and has a far kinder draw of seven. FIFTY CARATS is a 4yr old filly taking on males. She did not get the clearest of passages when finishing second on debut over five furlongs and did well to end up just two lengths behind the winner. She too would have come on with the run under her belt and from a handy draw of two, she is sure to ensure that the males know that they have been in a race.
