Race 2: DYNASTY’S BLOSSOM(13)
Jockey: Anton MARCUS – Trainer: Joey RAMSDEN

The bay filly DYNASTY’S BLOSSOM showed promise in her two starts this autumn but seems to have suffer- ed a setback which has kept her out of action for 31 weeks. The extremely well-bred daughter of Dynasty has huge scope for progress though and the engaging of top jockey Marcus indicates that her trainer will have her fit and well. She is bred to relish the mile.

Race 3: MILTON(2)
Jockey: Bernard FAYD’HERBE – Trainer: Billy PRESTAGE
Just half a dozen entrants head to post for this tricky pinnacle affair where the solitary natural dictator MILTON could make all with his top jockey in the saddle. The six-year old chestnut gelding needed his comeback run in a feature and though he has plenty to find with TABLE BAY and COPPER FORCE on that showing, he will strip fitter and should be an entirely different proposition today.

TOP BET

Race 4: VIA SACRA(1)
Jockey: Sean VEALE – Trainer: Dennis DRIER
The KZN visitor VIA SACRA landed the betting coup easier than the victory margin suggested on debut over six furlongs earlier this campaign and she is certainly worth following. Her conditioner clearly rates the daughter of Pathfork who would have strengthened during the eleven week absence. She meets an ordinary field at handicap level on local debut and should prove equal to the task at hand.

Race 8: SILVA’S BULLET(3)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH – Trainer: Dean KANNEMEYER
The three-year olds have a big say in this ordinary handicap contest and the strong preference is for the lightly raced SILVA’S BULLET who represents the in-form Kannemeyer/Delpech combination. This well- related promising son of Silvano followed-up his impressive debut win with a decent second performance in a minor feature behind subsequent winners Broadway Trip and Zen Arcade over seven furlongs. The bay colt would have strengthened during the 11 week break and is bred to love this rise in distance. He could prove to be better than rated on his handicap debut but the slight worry is that he tackles the left hand turn for the first time.

VALUE BET FOR TODAY
Race 6: TAP O’ NOTH(2) Jockey: MJ BYLEVELD – Trainer: Vaughan MARSHALL

The lack of a solid gallop could be a real issue in this Grade 3 contest where some quality three-year olds take centre stage. The classy colt TAP O’NOTH lost his unbeaten record but still ran on smartly for a close 3rd behind subsequent winner Our Mate Art over this c & d on his seasonal debut five weeks ago. His two prior juvenile victories underlines his ability and the Marshall inmate should strip fitter today. He could profit heavily if dictating terms today and is worth following this campaign.
