Winning Form Best Bets
Race 1: FLYING GEORGE(7)
Race 3: BRAVO BRAVO(11)
Race 4: LA FERRARI(5)
Race 8: DOM SEGUIDOR(13)
Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 1: EASTBROOK(6)
Jockey: L Hewitson – Trainer: G Anthony
EASTBROOK was outclassed in a feature behind subsequent Grade 2 winner Barahin recently but drops heavily into maiden company today and of course he had some useful prior form at this level. It is rather encouraging that the champion jockey elect retains the mount on the speedy chestnut colt. The newcomers are certainly worth monitoring in the betting market with the Drier inmate FRANCISCO high on the priority list.
Race 2: WILDLY IN LOVE(16)
Jockey: M Yeni – Trainer: D Howells
The juveniles could hold the key to the outcome of this competitive six furlong sprint.
WILDLY IN LOVE attracted longshot betting support when she stayed on well for 3rd on her smart debut outing over this c & d against winners in mid-May and she would have strengthened during the short nine week absence.
TOP BET
Race 3: PRINCE CHARMING(9)
Jockey: M Yeni – Trainer: G Anthony
It could pay to follow the progress of Donnan in the opening contest as the top selection here,
PRINCE CHARMING finished exactly three lengths ahead of that rival over this c & d recently. This bay son of Mullins Bay was having his second career run and though again slow into stride, he ran on smartly for 2nd at the line and will strip fitter now.
Race 4: LA FERRARI(5)
Jockey: L Ferraris – Trainer: A Rivalland
LA FERRARI is a smart type who is unfortunately plagued with issues but he quickly returned to form albeit finishing 2nd best behind subsequent winner HASHTAG STRAT (14.5kgs worse off) over the minimum trip in late May. He will have no issues with this extra furlong and should be highly competitive in this handicap.
VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:
Race 6: SEA SPONGE(10)
Jockey: L Hewitson – Trainer: A Wright
SEA SPONGE will prefer returning to racing on the grass after his two moderate post maiden runs on the polytrack and the Mambo In Seattle gelding meets recent conqueror LAAT LAMMETJIE on 3.5kgs better terms for the 3.25 lengths deficit. Of course the top selection is proven over this trip having ran on for 4th, beaten just over two lengths by HIT AND RUN (6.5kgs worse off) three runs back. He has come down nicely in the ratings and could make his presence felt from the best draw.
