ADEFILL was beaten fair and square by ERIMO in his last start. He is 4kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. SO WE JOY produced a good last run in yielding conditions. He has some decent form lines to his credit and must be strongly considered in this opening contest.

10:30 – Race 2 | Class 4 | 1000m

Selections: 5/1/9

BEAUTY DESTINY caught the eye when beaten into third by a progressive sort on debut. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and will have plenty of followers in this contest. AMAZING ROCKY is nicely weighted with apprentice Wong aboard and can run into the money.

11:00 – Race 3 | Class 3 | 1000m

Selections: 5/2/1

DREAM WINNER absolutely trotted up on debut to beat Amazing Rocky and it will be intriguing to see if the form line is done any favors in Race 2. PLEASANT ENDEAVOR has been narrowly-beaten in his last two outings. This son of Redoute’s Choice has been consistent throughout the season and should give another good account of himself.

11:30 – Race 4 | Class 5 | 1400m

Selections: 3/9/11

MAXIMIZE HEART won his last start over this course and distance. He remains in Class 5 and can make it quick back-to-back wins. The South African bred APEX TOP followed up his recent win with a runner-up berth. He runs well for Luke Ferraris and can challenge the top selection if overcoming the wide draw.

12:00 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1800m (AW)

MISSION BRAVO finished a couple lengths behind AMAZING TEENS in his penultimate start. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating the pair in the run down to the line. EL VALIENTE has shown a clear affinity for the All Weather. He comes in with a light weight and could be one to fill the trifecta spot.

12:35 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

Selections: 11/3/5

LADY’S CHOICE is the narrow first selection. He was 1.5 lengths behind the winner in his last start and it is encouraging that Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride. The chestnut HORSESAIN BOLT is yet to win on this course but he looks nicely handicapped and could be one to cause an upset.

13:05 – Race 7 | Class 4 | 1400m

ALL IS GOOD won his last start at a nice price and from barrier 2 may be the horse that they all have to peg back. KASI FARASI was beaten just under a length in his last start. He shoulders the same weight and is a 1400m specialist. YOUNG HORIZON and CASA LEGEND are both nicely weighted. They were both fancied in their last start and must be strongly considered.

13:35 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1600m

Selections: 5/10/7

JUMBO FORTUNE is a Group 3 winner and definitely has the ability to win in this line-up. ENTRUSTED finished a couple of lengths behind a progressive type in his last start. He is reaching peak fitness and if overcoming the wide draw should be right there where it matter most. RATTAN KINGDOM is much better than his last start suggests and has the form to feature in this field. The only concern is that all three of his wins have been recorded at Happy Valley.

14:10 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1200m

Selections: 7/6/8

LUCKY ENCOUNTER won his last start well. It must be noted that the horse he beat Reward Smile has come out and franked the form. He is in search of a hat-trick and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. EXCELLENT FIGHTER followed up back-to-back wins with another good effort and is the biggest danger to the top selection.

14:45 – Race 10 | Class 2 | 1800m

Selections: 1/8/3

TUCHEL is the class-package in the race and all five of his career wins have come on this course. He won his last start over a mile and the step up in distance should pose little concern. NEARLY FINE finished right behind BUTTERFIELD in his last start. The pair meet on similar weight terms and are both genuine contenders in the lucky last!
