HAPPY TANGO finished just over a length behind the winner at Happy Valley on Wednesday. If this run hasn’t come too soon, he should be involved in the fight to the finish. CHIRON produced a fair last effort on the All Weather. He may be suited to the drop in trip and the booking of Harry Bentley to ride is a big plus.

SOLID SHALAA has placed in his last two starts under Karis Teetan. He is knocking on the door and can notch up his fourth career win. HINOKAMI KAGURA showed big improvement in his first run on the All Weather course. A repeat of that effort should see him finish in the money. TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR is next in line.

CHATEAUNEUF won well on debut and it is encouraging that Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride. YOU’REMYEVERYTHING has been narrowly beaten in his last two starts over this course and distance. Karis Teetan has picked up the ride and he may be able to coax a little bit extra out of him where it matters most.
08:30 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1800m

SATIRICAL GLORY has entered the frame in his last three starts over a mile. He meets the right field and should be one of the leading contenders. FOREVER GLORIOUS was beaten by the narrowest of margins at Happy Valley last time. He is nicely handicapped and should give another good account of himself. DEVAS TWELVE ran on powerfully to win his last start and he remains in Class 4.
09:00 – Race 5 | Class 3 | 1200m

ORIENTAL SMOKE made a form return and got up to beat a progressive sort in his last start. He is taking on stronger and should be up to the task at hand. The South African-bred PARTERRE finished 2.2 lengths behind BEAUTY MISSILE in his last start. The pair meet on similar weight terms and he may have to settle for the same result.
09:35 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

CHAMPION INSTINCT runs well for Andrea Atzeni and the combination are in search of a hat-trick of wins. He looks to be one of the better on bets on the card. GREAT SPIRIT produced an eye-catching debut effort behind Chateauneuf and it will be interesting to see if the form line is given a boost in Race 3.
10:05 – Race 7 | Class 3 | 1200m

GOOD BUDDY finished 1.5 lengths behind VICTORY MOMENTS in his last start. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. SMOKEY BEAR finished a neck behind the top selection in the race mentioned above. The pair meet on similar weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them at the wire.
10:35 – Race 8 | Class 4 | 1400m

SUNLIGHT POWER’S last two starts under Harry Bentley have been good. He was given a fair penalty and it will be no surprise to see him record quick back-to-back wins. FOOLISH HEART finished just under a length behind VANTASTIC CHOICE last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.
11:10 – Race 9 | Class 2 | 1400m

YOUNG CHAMPION is a serious talent and has a bright future. He comes in with a light weight and should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest. FANTASTIC TREASURE has been racing in Group company this season. He is nicely weighted with apprentice Chau aboard and can challenge the top selection.
11:45 – Race 10 | Class 3 | 1400m

SWEET BRIAR didn’t shape over a mile last time. He will relish the drop back to 1400m and can return to best form with Zac Purton in the saddle. WINDCHEATER finished close-up behind Oriental Smoke after winning on debut. He comes in with a handy galloping weight and will have plenty of followers in the lucky last!
