JUBILATION finished 1.2 lengths behind ROMANTIC FANTASY in his last outing. He is 5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. MANAGEMENT FOLKS produced a fair effort behind the top selection before given a 2-month layoff. If returning fit he should give a good account of himself in this opening contest.

07:30 – Race 2 | Class 2 | 1600m

Selections: 3/4/5

ATULLIBIGEAL has the best form in the race. He won his last start defeating Superb Boy and can make it quick back-to-back wins. FANTASTIC TREASURE has been racing in features. He has cracked pole and is capable of finding a form return in this line-up. SPIRITED EXPRESS is next best.

08:00 – Race 3 | Class 5 | 1600m

Selections: 4/3/12

CHARMANDER finished a neck behind SMART BEAUTY last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights which should be enough to turn the tables. SUPERB MOVE’S last win came under Hugh Bowman. He has cracked pole and should give a good account of himself in this Class 5 contest.

08:30 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1200m

LIFELINE EXPRESS has finished close-up behind the winner in his last two starts. He is a horse that is still improving with racing and a first career victory looks to be on the horizon. CHAMPION INSTINCT won his last start under Andrea Atzeni. He is holding form well and could be one to fill the exacta spot.

09:00 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1200m

GENEVA produced an eye-catching debut effort when beaten a length by Massive Talent. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt. SPICY GOLD finished 1.5 lengths behind Parterre in his last start. He is still lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement in this field. TELECOM DRAGON is nicely weighted with apprentice Angus Chung aboard.

09:35 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1400m

Selections: 10/3/1

SMART FIGHTER finished a neck behind PANDA LEGEND last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. TOP SCORER has placed in all three of his starts under Zac Purton and must be included. SECOND TO NONE has decent form lines to his credit. He comes in at the top of the weights and merits healthy respect.

10:05 – Race 7 | Group 1 | 2000m

Selections: 1/2/4

ROMANTIC WARRIOR is going for a hat-trick of Group 1 victories. This is his favorite distance and James McDonald has opted to ride the renowned champion over VOYAGE BUBBLE. BEAUTY JOY finished 2.2 lengths behind the second selection last time. The pair meet on identical weight terms and he may have to settle for the same result.

10:40 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1600m

Selections: 6/4/3

SWEET BRIAR hardly runs a bad race. He steps up to a mile and can feature if seeing out the extra furlong on offer. BEAUTY FIT is better than his below-par last effort. He meets the right field and is arguably most deserving of a win. KARMA is nicely handicapped and James McDonald may be able to coax a little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

11:15 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1200m

Selections: 3/2/9

GORGEOUS WIN is a horse that is clearly on the upgrade and he may still be ahead of the handicapper at this stage of his career. ENTERPRISE ATTACK showed signs of needing his comeback run and is weighted to finish closer to the top selection. The South African-bred PARTERRE was a surprise winner over this course and distance last time. He is taking on stronger and may be up to the task at hand.

11:50 – Race 10 | Class 3 | 1400m

Selections: 4/5/7

YOUNG CHAMPION finished half a length behind ILLUMINOUS in his first run in Hong Kong. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in the run down to the line. GREEN N WHITE has a solid record over this distance. He is talented and should be one of the leading contenders in the lucky last!
