The South African-bred GREEN LASER shoulders a handy galloping weight in this opening contest. He won three runs ago and a repeat of that effort should see him finish in the money.

WINDCHEATER caught the eye in his debut victory. He looks to be a progressive type and should be one of the leading contenders. SKY TRUST finished 1.5 lengths behind James Tak in his last start. He is coming along the right way and further natural progression is expected. STRATHPEFFER is next best.

ADEFILL is an All Weather specialist having achieved all five wins on this course. He comes in with a light weight and is difficult to oppose on form. ALACRITY finished just under a length behind ALL FOR ST PAUL’S in his penultimate run. He is 2kgs better off at the weights which should be enough to turn the tables.
08:30 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1600m

CELTIC TIMES was a beaten favorite in his last start. He steps up to a mile and should be one of the leading contenders. CHILLI BABA finished third last time and it is encouraging that Karis Teetan has kept faith in the ride. CALIFORNIATOTALITY is nicely weighted with apprentice Angus Chung aboard and must be included in all bets.
09:00 – Race 5 | Class 3 | 1200m

The grey TORONADO PHANTOM is coming off a fair last run on the All Weather. He is nicely handicapped and should appreciate racing back on turf. LADY’S CHOICE finished a neck behind Ka Ying Rising last time. Both of his wins have been achieved under Zac Purton and the combination merit healthy respect.
09:30 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1200m

SKY HEART has placed in both starts to date. He has a wide draw to overcome and can feature if getting across without using up too much energy. ALWAYS FLUKE is better than his moderate last start. The 4-month break would have done him the world of good and he can return to best form.
10:05 – Race 7 | The HK Classic Cup | 1800m

HELIOS EXPRESS won the HK Classic Mile and is in a good space coming into this race. He has cracked a neat draw and should love the rise to 1800m. HELENE FEELING finished 1.8 lengths behind the top selection in the race mentioned above. The pair meet on the same weight terms and he may have to settle for the same result. ENSUED is a talented horse and the booking of Ryan Moore is big plus.
10:40 – Race 8 | Class 2 | 1000m

GALAXY PATCH has a solid record on this course. He has shown a good turn of foot in his races and if suited to 1000m he should take a power of beating. INVINCIBLE SAGE finished 1.8 lengths behind the top selection in his last run. He is slightly better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result.
11:15 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 2000m

FLAMINGO TRILLION finished 1.5 lengths behind NOBLE PURSUIT last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. INTREPID WINNER finished third over this course and distance last time. He runs well for Keagan de Melo and should be involved in the outcome of this contest.
11:50 – Race 10 | Class 3 | 1400m

SUPERB KID finished well in his last start behind Giddy Up. He seems to have found his best trip and will have plenty of followers. MAGNIFICENT NINE finished a length behind the top selection in the race mentioned above. The pair meet on similar weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in the lucky last!
