This Irish-bred gelding hasn’t been too far off the winner most notably in his last outing at Newmarket (Rowley) when only a neck separated him from the winner, Highly Sprung. He will strip much fitter for this contest and can earn his sixth career triumph this afternoon.

She is a filly taking on males and she should give account of herself in this contest, despite her outside draw. She made a smart return to the races after a nine-month layoff when she was only beaten by half a length. With Harley in the saddle, the pair may be tough to peg back in the closing stages of this event.
Race 8 No7 ROCKET ROD
Trainer: H Palmer – Jockey: J. Watson
This Irish-bred sort was thrashed on debut by ten lengths and meets a field relatively unexposed to any form. He will come on from the experience, the slight drop in trip should suit and he can shed his maiden tag in the lucky last.
