Zimbabwe were thrust onto the backfoot by an aggressive India jarred into life by the shocking defeat to start the five-match series.

The series remains at the Harare Sports Club and the pitch generally looks quite good for batting despite the low-scoring opener.

To Win Match
Zimbabwe 57/10 | Tie 25/1 | India 1/9

Zimbabwe were always going to find it hard to hang with India if the tourists got their batting going early.

They are probably a side who will do better defending scores rather than chasing them down given the experience of the team they are facing.

Blessing Muzarabani remains the most consistent bowler in their lineup and the man you can bank on for four good to great overs.

They need top-order batters like Wessly Madhevere to not just get starts but to really cash in on those if they are to challenge top sides consistently.

Abhishek Sharma had contrasting matches and mirrored the fortunes of India after he was dismissed for a duck in the opener but then responded with a maiden T20I hundred.

Zimbabwe have struggled to find answers to the spin of Ravi Bishnoi in either match and he looks like a good candidate to top the wicket-takers in this series.

Avesh Khan is the man who has started things with energy and vigour for India with the ball in his hands and he is the player who stands out as a possible candidate to take the first wicket for his team.

Ruturaj Gaikwad has enjoyed the number three role but India might find they get better results by swapping his place in the order with skipper Shubman Gill, who has failed twice opening the batting in this series.

Verdict: India 1/9

India should keep the hammer down and notch another win.
