Hollywoodbets & Shoprite Competition
1 September to 31 October 2024
Customers stand a chance to win a share of up to R200 000 in prizes with the Wheel of Fortune.
1. To enter, customers need to purchase a Holly Top Up Voucher to the value of R50 or more at any Shoprite, Checkers or Usave store, redeem it into their Hollywoodbets account and click “enter” to opt-in on the promotions page.
2. The competition runs between 1 September to 31 October 2024.
3. The final draw of the competition will take place on 31 October 2024.
4. Customers must be over the age of 18 to participate in the competition and have a valid Hollywoodbets account.
5. Each Holly Top Up Voucher can only be entered once into the competition.
6. Top Up Vouchers must be purchased between 1 September to 31 October 2024.
7. Betting vouchers must be turned (staked) once at odds of 5/10 (0.5 decimal) or greater, before withdrawing.
8. Entries include all Holly Top Up vouchers purchased from any Shoprite, Checkers or Usave stores to the value of R50 or more.
9. Sixty-five (65) winners will be randomly selected from all valid entries via a draw.
10. The draws will take place at the Hollywoodbets Team Support Office and will be supervised by an auditor on the following dates and the below prizes will be given away:
• Week 1 – 6 September: 6 Wheel of Fortune winners (KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, Free State and Mpumalanga only), 2 cash winners and 2 betting voucher winners.
• Week 2 – 13 September: 3 cash winners and 2 betting voucher winners.
• Week 3 – 20 September: 6 Wheel of Fortune winners (KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, Limpopo and North West only), 2 cash winners and 2 betting voucher winners.
• Week 4 – 27 September: 3 cash winners, and 2 betting voucher winners.
• Week 5 – 4 October: 2 cash winners, and 2 betting voucher winners.
• Week 6 – 11 October: 6 Wheel of Fortune winners (KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and Eastern Cape only), 3 cash winners, and 2 betting voucher winners.
• Week 7 – 18 October: 2 cash winners, and 2 betting voucher winners.
• Week 8 – 25 October: 3 cash winners, and 3 betting voucher winners.
• Week 9 – 1 November: 4 Wheel of Fortune winners (KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng, Western Cape, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape only), 3 cash winners, and 3 betting voucher winners.
11. Each segment of the Wheel of Fortune is assigned a specific prize value as follows:
o Cash: R4,500
o Betting Voucher: R2,500
o Grocery Voucher: R5,000
12. The promotion includes a total of 22 live draws. During each draw, the selected winners will be given the chance to spin the Wheel of Fortune. Each winner is entitled to one spin. The wheel is segmented with various prizes, which include grocery vouchers, cash and betting vouchers. The prize awarded to each winner will be determined by the position of the arrow after the wheel comes to a stop.
13. The live draw will take place at the winner’s nearest Shoprite or Hollywoodbets branch.
14. Hollywoodbets will not be held liable for any customer who fails to provide their correct contact number when claiming their prizes.
15. Betting vouchers must be turned (staked) once at odds of 5/10 (0.5 decimal) or greater, before withdrawing.
16. Winners of Wheel of Fortune should avail themselves within 7 – 14 working days to collect their prizes.
17. The winners will be contacted telephonically or via SMS on the above-mentioned dates to claim their prize.
18. Winners may not win more than one prize for the duration of the competition.
19. Entries are unlimited.
20. The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
21. Prizes are subject to change to another item of the same value should Hollywoodbets not be able to source the prize.
22. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
23. Hollywoodbets reserves the right not to award prizes should irregular activities be identified.
24. By entering the competition, you agree:
a) that Hollywoodbets may collect and process your personal information for the purposes of the competition; and
b) to receive communication from Hollywoodbets’ sponsors and partners.
25. The winners agree to take part in reasonable post-event publicity and to the use of their names and photographs in such publicity, subject to the winner’s right to decline participation in any such promotional activities.
26. Hollywoodbets and its authorised agents reserve the right to vary, suspend, postpone or terminate the competition and any prizes which have not already been won, or any aspect thereof, for any reasons whatsoever and without notice. In such event, you hereby waive any rights or expectations, which you may have against Hollywoodbets or its authorised agents and acknowledge that you will not have any recourse or claim of any nature against Hollywoodbets or its authorised agents.

28. Every entrant participating in the competition shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted these terms and conditions by virtue of their participation.
29. This competition is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of Hollywoodbets or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Hollywoodbets or marketing service providers, spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members of all the above.
30. By entering and participating and/or accepting any prize, the entrants, participants, users and/or winners hereby indemnify, release and hold harmless Hollywoodbets (including its subsidiaries, associate companies and affiliates), its directors, employees, agents, suppliers and contractors from and against any actions, claims and/or liability for injury, loss, damage, expense, claim and/or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the competition, and/or the use, acceptance or possession of a prize and/or participation (or non-participation) in a prize-related activity.
31. Self-excluded persons may not enter the competition.
32. In the event of a dispute, individuals may contact their respective gambling authorities.
