Aviva Premiership: Round 14 Quick Fire Tips

Aviva Premiership: Round 14 Quick Fire Tips

Check out our quick-fire tips for this weekend’s Aviva Premiership action.

The Six Nations may have taken center-stage but there’s still a whole host of Aviva Premiership games on the go. We have decided to change things up and go with a quick-fire tips segment rather than the standard piece.

Friday 10 February

To Win (80 Mins)
Bath 3/10 | Draw 21/1 | Northampton 5/2
Both of these sides have been significantly weakened by Six Nations call-ups. The hosts have been solid enough on their home patch this term winning five of their six home fixtures. They also won the reverse fixture 18-14. They’re rather short at 3/10 but I don’t see Bath chucking this one away.

To Win (80 Mins)
Bristol 6/10 | Draw 18/1 | Harlequins 29/20
Bristol are one of the teams who will benefit the most from the Six Nations. The newly promoted side have hardly been affected by international call-ups while their opponents have lost a handful of players. My money is on Bristol edging this one by 3-5 points.

To Win (80 Mins)
Sale 4/10 | Draw 24/1 | Newcastle 39/20
Sale currently lie 10th on the Aviva Premiership standings, nine points behind this weekend’s opponents, the Newcastle Falcons. The visitors have struggled for results since the turn of the year but it must be remembered that they have come up against Wasps and Saracens in two of their last three games. I quite fancy the away side here. They won the reverse leg 19-17 and my money is on them doing the double over their opponents.

Saturday 11 February

Worcester 26/10 | Draw 24/1 | Saracens 3/10
Saracens may have been the hardest hit by Six Nations call-ups but they will still be able to field a side stacked with international talent, including Schalk Burger, Marcelo Bosch and Chris Wyles. While I think Worcester, who have lost talismanic centre Ben Teo to England, will make life hard for ‘Saries, I can’t see them getting one over the defending champs. Get on the ‘Saries win at 3/10.

To Win (80 Mins)
Leicester 1/5 | Draw 22/1 | Gloucester 37/10
The Tigers will host the cherries this Saturday and my money is firmly on the hosts. Yes, both sides have lost players but Gloucester are going to struggle without kingpin goal kicker, Greig Laidlaw. Leicester are also short at 1/5 but I can’t see the visitors springing a surprise here.

To Win (80 Mins)
Exeter 3/10 | Draw 24/1 | Wasps 26/10
This is the game that could provide a bit of a shock. Yes, Wasps have lost a handful of their stars to international call-ups but they still have the likes of Kurtley Beale and Ashley Johnson turning out for them. I wouldn’t have a huge punt on it but a R25 stake may net a tidy profit.
