The Hollywood Foundation, in collaboration with the Mapimpi Foundation is honoured to make a meaningful contribution to two schools in East London. The handover forms a part of the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign which supports parents and children from underserved schools around the country.
With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by learners in underprivileged communities, Hollywoodbets Sharks and Springboks star, Makazole Mapimpi, embodies resilience and determination. His upbringing in Tsholomnqa, Mdantsane, was marked by adversity and loss, and served as the driving force behind his remarkable achievements as a formidable rugby player. His unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and education in his township stems from a deep-rooted desire to pay forward the kindness and support he received when he needed it the most.
Teaming up with the Hollywood Foundation for the Back to School campaign, his contribution of school uniforms and school shoes to KwaMoni Primary School in Tsholomnqa, and Mzomuhle High School, in Mdantsane serves as a beacon of hope for parents and learners alike as they embark on a new academic year.
