Tough match to start the weekend. The Blues will want to open the game up for their talented outside backs like Rieko Ioane and Melani Nanai. This will actually play into the hands of the Hurricanes because they thrive on broken play. Expect a high scoring match if it doesn’t rain.

Rebels are back in Melbourne for a match that could determine who wins the Australian conference. The Rebels will have too much quality for the Reds however even though the Reds will put up a fight.

The Crusaders were left stunned by the Sharks last week and they will travel to Pretoria ready for a physical onslaught. If the Crusaders take the lead early on, they will win it. If the Bulls stay in the game throughout, Handre Pollard’s boot will win it for them. This match will have a test match feel to it and I am gonna back the Bok flyhalf to come good in his biggest match of the 2019 season.

Ben Smith’s injury will most certainly affect the Highlanders going forward in this tournament. I do feel though that their style of play wont allow the Jaguares to feast off a scrappy game.

The Sharks need to back up their performance against the Crusaders with another massive one against an injury ravaged Chiefs outfit. This could go either way so I will back the home side.

The Lions know that a loss to the Waratahs will probably mean that the chances of them winning the SA conference are gone. On paper this is a solid Waratahs side but that has not often reflected on the field this season. The Folau saga has also added a bit of turmoil in the squad and the Lions need to capitalize on that even though they have issues of their own.
