“We see Jacques [Nienaber] has made quite a few changes which was to be expected, resting a few of his first-choice players but still selecting quite a strong team.

“The most most interesting selection was having all four scrumhalves in the matchday 23, but I think Grant Williams should be quite comfortable out on the wing. And they should want to give Faf [de Klerk] a go at flyhalf, who at this stage is the backup flyhalf.

“The only concern would be the injuries we sustained, with Eben Etzebeth and Malcolm Marx. The Boks would want to come out of this game without picking up any serious injuries.

“There’s no doubt who should win this one, the question is just by how much. But it should be a convincing win nonetheless.”

Akona

“All respect to Romania, but I don’t think they will cause any issues for the Springboks. The coaches have made a couple of changes and the one I’m excited about is seeing Canan Moodie back at 13 partnering up with Andre Esterhuizen.

“It should be a very exciting game. I’m sure it will open up and there will be a lot of tries being scored by the Springboks with Grant Williams and Mapimpi on the wings. Damien Willemse at 10, it should be a very exciting game to watch.

“I’ll give the Springboks anything between 30 to 40 points difference. It will be a confidence booster for them going into the tournament, just making sure the guys are fresh and ready if there are any injuries.

“We’ve seen Malcolm Marx is injured now but I’m sure the guys will put up their hands and give the coach a bit of a headache.”
