The 4-day tour started in Gauteng, went on to Cape Town and then Durban.

Boks two-time Rugby World Cup winning coach Siya Kolisi shared a heartfelt message to South Africans, on Monday after they concluded their Rugby tour, thanking them for the support.

“We said before the Rugby World Cup final against New Zealand that were playing for the 60 million plus people in South Africa, and the support we witnessed first-hand on the trophy tour in the last few days was breath-taking.

“It was special to see the scenes when we arrived home after the 2019 World Cup, but this welcome was something else.

“We said we wanted to help build the nation through rugby, and with tens of thousands of people from all walks of life in all four provinces running next to the bus and cheering us on, we witnessed a united nation, and we hope we can continue to see this in society as well.” said Kolisi.

Among the fans who got to see the Boks during the Rugby tour was Siya Dlamini, who recently went viral on social media for changing Bok’s lock, Eben Etzebeth’s name to ‘Elizabedi’.

In the TikTok video, Siya is seen jumping up and down in excitement, screaming ‘Elizabedi’ during the quarter final match against the hosting team, France. The video had many South Africans in stitches.

Upon meeting his Bok hero, Siya embraced ‘Elizabedi’, and his face launched into a long grin when ‘Elizabedi’ jokingly said “You changed my name, hey!”, to which he simply nodded.
