It’s been a frustrating time for the former SA U20 star as he has been struggling for game time at the Bulls since joining them last year from the Lions.

He had left the Lions to join the Bulls after the Covid-19 pandemic after he was rumoured to be joining either Sharks or Stormers.

However, about the Stormers’ move, it was believed that a clause in his Lions contract prevented him from moving to the Western Cape.

Now we fast forward to the end of his first year at the Bulls and he has been playing in multiple positions but still struggling for game time.

According to The South African, he was spotted in Durban, straight after returning to SA, from the Bulls tour to Europe in the early rounds of the United Rugby Championship.

A source who hasn’t revealed the name is closer to the situation also confirmed that the deal is just about a done deal.

“He is indeed, in Durban and from what I am hearing, they’re looking to sort out something short-term with him at the Sharks, with the hopes of it becoming permanent,” says the source.

One thing is for sure though, he will add some much-needed depth for the coastal outfit which will be welcome news to head coach John Plumtree.
