Glasgow’s bonus-point win over Zebre Parma earlier in the day sees the Scottish side hold a four-point advantage at the summit with just three rounds to go.

The dominant South Africans earned a bonus-point victory after tries from Ben Loader, Samaan Moerat, Herschel Jantjies, Willie Engelbrecht and Warrick Gelant, with fly-half Manie Libbok converting four and adding three penalties for a personal haul of 17 points.

Max Deegan and Rob Russell went over for tries for Leinster with Sam Prendergast adding a conversion.

Kurt-Lee Arendse and Canan Moodie both ran riot as the Bulls returned to winning ways in the URC with a thumping 61-24 win over Ospreys at Loftus Versfeld.

Ospreys would have headed to Pretoria feeling confident after stunning the Stormers in Cape Town a week ago, but it was a different story this time around.

Moodie and Canan each scored two tries as the home side ran in nine tries in all in a thoroughly dominant performance.

Munster became the first European team to win at Ellis Park in the United Rugby Championship (URC) this season after demolishing the Lions 33-13.

It was a sixth successive league victory for the champions and completed a successful two-match tour of South Africa having dispatched the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld a week earlier.

But Graham Rowntree’s side had to work hard for their scores and they spent lengthy spells of the second half defending their line having built a 28-6 lead before securing the bonus point in the final minute.

Then finally, Werner Kok scored a hat-trick of tries to help the Hollywoodbets Sharks to just a fourth United Rugby Championship (URC) victory of the season as they beat the Scarlets 32-27.

Both teams are out of the play-off picture with three games remaining but the South Africans will hope to end a disappointing season on a high note.

Vincent Koch also crossed for the Sharks with fly-half Siya Masuku kicking three conversions and a penalty.

Ryan Elias, Kemsley Mathias and Ioan Nicholas scored tries for the home side with Sam Costelow kicking the rest of their points.
