Our PSL scribe fancies a Mariztburg United win in Friday night’s KZN derby while our English Championship writer reckons we’ll see a few goals on Saturday with Reading taking on Nottingham Forest. The final leg of out treble comes courtesy of our rugby writer who’s backing Clermont to get the job done against Brive. Maritzburg have made a slow start to the campaign but after holding Kaizer Chiefs to a goalless draw in 90 minutes in the Telkom Knockout last weekend, they might just be confident enough to claim maximum points and bragging rights over their KZN rivals. Golden Arrows have been the better team, but the form guide goes out the window in derby matches like these. The Team of Choice have won three of the last four meetings at home against Arrows and are well worth a punt at a valuable 28/10.

Aside from their 4-0 humbling at the hands of a vastly superior Arsenal side in the League Cup, their last 13 games in all competitions have seen both sides involved find the back of the net. Reading haven’t had much trouble scoring themselves of late, netting in each of their last nine league games. At 15/20, you simply can’t not add this Both Teams to Score to your weekend multiples!

French Rugby is an absolute minefield to punt on but once in a while, a banker will pop up. And we have an absolute banker in Clermont. The current French Top 14 leaders have made a stellar start to their domestic campaign and have only lost one of their opening eight games. And whilst Brive have been in decent nick at home – winning all four of their games at the Stade Amedee-Domenech – I just can’t see them getting one over this red-hot Clermont side.
