Alisson Becker kept Liverpool’s Champions League qualification hopes alive when powering in a 94th-minute header against West Brom.

The Brazilian goalkeeper hasn’t been at his formidable best this season. But with Liverpool’s Champions League qualification hopes slipping away. Up stepped the 28-year-old to keep the Reds’ season alive!

From a Trent Alexander-Arnold corner (from which many season-defining moments seem to originate from – thing Divock Origi against Barcelona), the shot-stopper found himself unmarked near the penalty spot. He met the Liverpool right-back’s delivery and glanced it expertly inside the far post, a finished any centre-forward would have been proud of.

The victory keeps Jürgen Klopp’s men very much in the hunt for Champions League football. They currently occupy fifth place on the standings, one point behind Chelsea and three back from Leicester who play each other later this week.
