Arsenal have kicked their season off on the perfect note after defeating Chelsea on penalties to claim the Community Shield.
The Gunners’ new boy, Saed Kolasinac struck late on to level matters after Victor Moses opened the scoring minutes after the second half got underway. The match would end 1-1 – and with no extra time – the sides went to penalties.
Thibaut Courtois and Alvaro Morata both missed their spot kicks for the Blues as Giroud, Monreal, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott all found the back of the net. The perfect start to the season then for Arsenal while Antonio Conte will hope his side bounce back when the league kicks off next week.
