Next Erling Haaland’ Sesko finally joins Leipzig

RB Leipzig may have lost one of their main stars when they sold talisman Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea, but the ecxiting 20-year-old Benjami Sesko is set to take the league by storm.

An all-round striker standing at almost 6’5″ tall, he shares a number of similarities with Erling Haaland, the ex-Salzburg goal machine who broke all manner of records at Dortmund prior to winning the UEFA Champions League with Manchester City in May.

Sesko’s not the first Red Bull Salzburg player to make the switch to Leipzig, but he might turn out to be the most talented yet.

Armenian teenage sensation tipped to succeed at Mönchengladbach

Grant-Leon Ranos has swapped the Bayern reserves for the Borussia Mönchengladbach first team.

Ranos spent the initial phases of his youth development at Hannover and Borussia Dortmund. He enjoyed a subsequent switch to Bayern in 2018 where he played with the Bavarian giants’ U16s.

In the 2021/22 campaign, he scored 11 times in 17 U19 games and also enjoyed four appearances in the UEFA Youth League.

An intelligent, powerfully-built forward who has an incredible ability to be in the right place at the right time, Ranos is not all that dissimilar in style to former Bayern goal-machine Lewandowski.

Arthur will be perfect for youthful Leverkusen under Alonso

Not much is known abot the 20-year-old signing by Leverkusen. But the talented youngster made his Brazilian top-flight debut in May 2022, and has already won what is sure to be the first of many senior international caps for the Selecao.

He is an attack-minded full-back who is expected to get plenty of chances and fit in perfectly to Xabi Alonso’s style of play.

Naby Keita returns to Bundesliga with Werder Bremen

Keita, 28, previously spent two seasons at RB Leipzig before a 2018 move to England with Liverpool. The central midfielder returns to Germany having made 129 competitive appearances for Jürgen Klopp’s team and won every possible trophy at Anfield, with the English Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

Raphael Guerreiro leaves Dortmund, joins rivals Bayern Munich

Having opted against renew his contract against 2022/23 runners-up Borussia Dortmund, Gurriero will be joining Bayern Munich ahead of the new season.

The Portugal international spent seven years with Dortmund, and will now have to challenge Alphonso Davies for a starting berth at left-back under Thomas Tuchel – the same man who gave him his Bundesliga debut.
