PREVIEW: 2023/24 German Bundesliga – Week 10

The Bundesliga’s biggest fixture takes place this weekend as Borussia Dortmund host Bayern Munich in Der Klassiker. But even with such an enormous fixture on our hands we can’t dismiss league leaders Bayer Leverkusen picking up their eighth win last gameweek to remain undefeated.

Friday 3 November

27/20 Darmstadt | Draw 51/20 | Bochum 18/10 (20:30)

Kicking off the weekend two struggling teams face off in hopes of three precious points. Darmstadt host Bochum after conceding eight goals against Bayern, and Bochum hit the road again confidently – which I sheepishly say – considering their last two points over five fixtures were found away from home. Back Bochum on the draw no bet.

Saturday 4 November

14/10 Cologne | Draw 5/2 | Augsburg 7/4 (16:30)

The suffering Billy Goats host Augsburg after a 6-0 thumping from RB Leipzig, and while it may not be another thrashing, Augsburg’s back-to-back wins in which they’ve scored eight goals is enough for me to get behind them this weekend.

21/20 Freiburg | Draw 11/4 | Monchengladbach 21/10 (16:30)

Freiburg’s home form is marred only by a 4-2 loss at the hands of Dortmund, while Monchengladbach have found one win on the road all season. Confidently back the home team.

7/2 Hoffenheim | Draw 7/2 | Bayer Leverkusen 6/10 (16:30)

Bayer Leverkusen are the banker of the weekend. Eight wins and a 2-2 away draw against Bayern sees them remain undefeated and with an excellent opportunity to further their lead as Der Klassiker could end with any result.

38/10 Mainz | Draw 32/10 | RB Leipzig 6/10 (16:30)

RB Leipzig thumped Cologne 6-0 last time out, but their record away to Mainz is not inspiring, winning just two of their seven fixtures played. The draw is tipped.

16/10 Union Berlin | Draw 43/20 | Eintracht Frankfurt 17/10 (16:30)

Even against the toughest opponents a home win was confidently tipped for Union last season, now the tables have turned as the Berlin outfit sits 15th after nine fixtures. The away team is likely to come away with something here, but it’s safer to back both teams to score (yes) market.

3/1 Borussia Dortmund | Draw 33/10 | Bayern Munich 7/10 (19:30)

Sunday 5 November

7/10 Wolfsburg | Draw 31/10 | Werder Bremen (16:30)

I can’t remember such short odds-on Wolfsburg this season, but that magnifies the poor form Werder Bremen have shown. Back Die Wolfe to take all three.

33/10 Heidenheimer | Draw 32/10 | Stuttgart 7/10 (18:30)

Stuttgart’s four match win streak ended abruptly as they fought back from 3-1 down in the 66th minute against Hoffenheim, to a 3-2 result in which they could have salvaged a point. The away team have the perfect opportunity to collect all three against a lacklustre promoted Heidenheimer.

TREBLE @ 45/10

Freiburg Win 21/20

Leverkusen Win 6/10

Wolfsburg Win 7/10
