PREVIEW: 2023/24 German Bundesliga – Week 11

Bayern disposed of rivals Dortmund quickly and efficiently, while Bayer Leverkusen continues to put their name amongst the top of the German Bundesliga with a beautiful victory. Last week wasn’t on target with our punts, so we have gone a little more in-depth to retrieve lost coins.

Friday 10 November

27/20 Monchengladbach | Draw 26/10 | Wolfsburg 17/10 (21:30)

Kicking off the weekend we see a disappointing Monchengladbach battle Wolfsburg on home soil. M’gladbach hit the ground running to net three goals in 15 minutes against Freiburg but later showed their true colours – fading in a fixture to draw 3-3. Both these sides flake when it matters and concede silly goals – both teams to score (yes) is a certainty at 9/20.

Saturday 11 November

1/16 Bayern Munich | Draw 11/1 | Heidenheimer 23/1 (16:30)

Bayern Munich put on a masterclass against rivals Dortmund even though the media had Thomas Tuchel in a frenzy in pre-match interviews. The value is nowhere to be found, and if you want to take a long shot, back the home team on a -3 handicap at 12/10.

16/10 Augsburg | Draw 26/10 | Hoffenheim 29/20 (16:30)

Two early goals were enough to tame Augsburg’s last fixture against Colgone (1-1 draw) leaving their away record at one measly win, while Hoffenheim have showed quality on the road, winning each fixture to date, scoring 14 and conceding seven. Confidently back the value on the away side.

18/10 Darmstadt | Draw 5/2 | Mainz 27/20 (16:30)

Mainz completely and utterly shocked me, and most people who saw their 2-0 victory over RB Leipzig, but I should have taken heed considering they did so 3-0 earlier in April of this year. Back the away team against 15th placed Darmstadt.

31/20 Stuttgart | Draw 26/10 | Dortmund 29/20 (16:30)

There is value from top to bottom when Dortmund makes the trip to Stuttgart’s MHP Arena. Dortmund suffered their first league loss of the season at the hands of Bayern, and in disappointing fashion. Stuttgart was also destroyed, and for a second consecutive game. In addition, failing to score for the first time in 17-consecutive league games. Both teams desperately need to bounce back, but I’m playing it safe with both teams to score.

27/20 Bochum | Draw 5/2 | Cologne 7/4 (19:30)

Last placed Cologne could go level on points with 14th placed Bochum should they secure a win, but consistently bad form says otherwise. Bochum’s recent efforts saw them hold onto a 2-1 lead when they defeated Darmstadt away from home, and their first win of the season could reinforce their confidence. Back the home side.

Sunday 5 November

1/4 Bayer Leverkusen | Draw 48/10 | Union Berlin 17/2 (16:30)

Bayer Leverkusen have been persistently rolling teams over, and Florian Wirtz’s opening goal in their 3-2 win over Hoffenheim to remain undefeated is one for the history books. Leverkusen to win the first half is 7/10.

39/20 Werder Bremen | Draw 5/2 | Eintracht Frankfurt 5/4 (18:30)

Eintracht have put together a nice four match unbeaten run including a 3-3- draw with Dortmund, and I can’t see Werder Bremen knocking them off this galop after struggling to convert a 2-2 draw against 9-man Wolfsburg last time out.

9/20 RB Leipzig | Draw 37/10 | Freiburg (20:30)

Two seasons ago Freiburg messed up a 10/1 quad of mine, and I vowed to never back them again, and they disappointed last week again. I don’t know about you, but I’m putting Leipzig’s record of nine games undefeated against Freiburg to the test. Back the home team.

TREBLE @ 7/1

Hoffenheim Win 29/20

Mainz Win 27/20

RB Leipzig Win 9/20
