The Premier League is set to come to a blockbuster conclusion with the Premier League title set to be decided on the season finale this Sunday.

History beckons for Pep Guardiola’s Man City as they look set to become the first side to win the league on four consecutive occasions, while Arsenal remain in the hunt if the Citizens slip up against West Ham.

A victory against the Hammers will be enough for City to lift the title ahead of Arsenal who will face Everton at home in the alternate fixture on Sunday.

Aston Villa have also carved a beautiful history under the tutelage of manager Unai Emery, qualifying for the Uefa Champions League for the first time.

Several players pushed themselves to extreme limits to help their teams achieve something special this season and put themselves as strong contenders for the prestigious Player of the Season gong.

Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard have been crucial for Arsenal in their push for the league title as Ollie Watkins has been unbelievable for Villa in front of goals.

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer and City’s Erling Haaland have been marvellous to watch this season.

However, Modise feels Foden’s exploits this season put the 23-year-old ahead of everyone.

“For the Player of the Season, I think everybody would agree, I don’t think there’s anybody (who would disagree), even Arsenal fans, that Phil Foden is the obvious choice,” Modise said.

“His numbers are incredible for this season and the type of football he has been playing.

“When Kevin De Bruyne was injured and with Gundogan gone to Barca and Rodri being alone, it looked like it was going to be chaos, but the boy stood up and carried the team as young as he is.

“I think he is going to be the Player of the Year,” said the former Bafana Bafana star.

Foden has been involved in 25 goals for the Citizens, scoring 17 times and providing eight assists in the league.
