Chelsea were awarded a penalty in the second half against Everton with attackers Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson both rushing to the ball as they fought for who would take the resultant penalty.

This was before regular taker Palmer intervened and grabbed the ball with the three then involved in a heated exchange.

There was pushing between the players with Jackson and Madueke refusing to celebrate with Palmer after he converted the penalty.

Mauricio Pochettino lambasted the duo while reiterating that Palmer was the club’s designated penalty taker.

“It is a shame. We cannot behave in this way, I told them ‘this is the last time of this behaviour’.

“It is impossible to have this type of behaviour after this performance. If we want to be a great team, we need to change and think in a collective way.

“It’s a process for a young team who need to learn a lot. I was talking about this to the players after the game. It’s the last time I want to see something like this. I want to apologise to the fans.
