Sunday saw the Toon Army beaten 2-0 by title chasers Arsenal at St James’ Park and the Red Devils go down at West Ham by a goal to nil.

Eddie Howe’s men still occupy third on 65-points, while Erik ten Hag’s troops, who have recorded just one win from their last six away Premier League games, are fourth on 63.

Despite their discouraging showings this season, Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat of Brentford at Anfield on Saturday means they now find themselves just a single point (62) outside the top four, albeit having played one game more than Newcastle and Man U.

With just a handful of matches to go this season, the Champions League race looks set to come down to the wire once again.
