Goals from Lesiba Nku and Letsi Koapeng, each half, ensured Bahlabane Ba Ntwa take all the maximum points and avenged the defeat suffered in Algeria by the same score line a fortnight ago.

Marumo, who are languishing 16th in the DStv Premiership, are a totally different side in the CAF competition as they’re seated pretty at the top of Group A mini log compared to bottom of the log in the league.

With just one defeat, and three wins, Gallants have score 8 goals in 4 games in the group stages. Their form is in contrast to their domestic season form where they have scored 16 goals in 22 games.

Dylan Kerr, Gallants coach, whom is not yet given green light to sit on the bench by the league due to work permit issues told Thisisfootball.africa “(we had) good start but then sat back (in the) first half. Had a ‘shout’ at the players half time and got a response (from them)”

Kerr also commended his goalkeeper Washington Arubi for his sterling performance. “The back 5 were amazing” as they kept a clean sheet at home.

Gallants have two more games to play and need one win to advance to the quarter finals at second time of asking in the CAF Confederations Cup.
