South Africa have travelled to the east African country for their second qualifying match after overcoming Benin 2-1 at home on Saturday.

Instead of playing at the Rwandan capital Kigali, Bafana have made it to Butare, where they will face the Wasps on Tuesday.

While Bafana won their first tie, Rwanda drew with Zimbabwe at the same venue.

Speaking ahead of the midweek game, the Bafana boss said in the Citizen: “I am wondering why we have to play in Butare.

“It is not only the flight from Johannesburg to Kigali, after that it is a three hour bus ride to get here.

“Second, when I saw pictures of Rwanda’s game against Zimbabwe here and their AFCON qualifiers, this is a very bad synthetic pitch.

“I think it is time CAF and FIFA made good rules about travelling and about stadia.”

Broos added: “We need 11 warriors on the field.

“We don’t have to think about good, nice football, we have to think about fighting.”
