Bafana Bafana will compete with Tunisia, Mali and Namibia in Group E at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
The draw for the international tournament was conducted on Thursday with all 24 teams placed in their respective groups.
South Africa can be relatively happy with their opponents, having avoided a number of top teams.
Tunisia are the top seeds in Bafana’s group, and it was the Carthage Eagles that Bafana beat 2-0 in the final in 1996 to lift their only AFCON title so far.
Bafana have also lost twice to Mali at AFCON, while the last time they faced Namibia, the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, the country claimed a 1-0 WIN.
